Psychiatric disorders have emerged as significant contributors to the global burden of disease in recent decades.The endocannabinoid system(ECS)influences a range of physiological and pathophysiological processes,incl...Psychiatric disorders have emerged as significant contributors to the global burden of disease in recent decades.The endocannabinoid system(ECS)influences a range of physiological and pathophysiological processes,including nociception,cognition,appetite,memory,and behavior,serving as a crucial mediator in psychiatric disorders.Imaging the ECS provides valuable insights into the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders and enhances clinical management strategies.As an advanced noninvasive molecular imaging modality,positron emission tomography(PET)enables the in vivo exploration of biological processes at the cellular and molecular levels.Recent advancements have led to the development of numerous PET tracers that target various components of the ECS,offering opportunities to visualize,characterize,and quantify ECS activity in psychiatric disorders in vivo.In this review,we summarize the existing PET tracers for ECS imaging and discuss their applications in diverse psychiatric conditions,including cannabis use disorder,alcohol use disorder,post-traumatic stress disorder,schizophrenia,and eating disorders.展开更多

BACKGROUND The correlation between mobile phone use and the mental health of young adults remains a matter of intense scrutiny.While a substantial body of evidence implicates excessive mobile phone use and addiction i...BACKGROUND The correlation between mobile phone use and the mental health of young adults remains a matter of intense scrutiny.While a substantial body of evidence implicates excessive mobile phone use and addiction in the exacerbation of depressive and anxiety symptoms,conflicting data suggest that these associations may be inconsistent or overestimated.AIM To explore the relationship between mobile phone use time and addiction and depressive and anxiety symptoms.METHODS Using a multi-center observational study design(2022-2023),we recruited 16668 participants from six universities.Mobile phone use time was captured through mobile phone use record screenshots,and mobile phone addiction was assessed utilizing the Mobile Phone Addiction Tendency Scale.Depressive and anxiety symptoms were estimated using the Self-rating Depression Scale and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7.Subsequently,logistic regression and restricted cubic spline regression models were used.RESULTS The 3258(19.5%)participants exhibited depressive symptoms,and 4590(27.5%)reported anxiety symptoms.A significant U-shaped relationship was found between mobile phone use time and depressive symptoms(P for nonlinearity<0.001).Compared to the reference group(6-9 hours/day),the adjusted odds of depressive symptoms were significantly higher among students with screen times of 0-3 hours/day[odds ratio(OR)=1.18,95%confidence interval(CI):1.05-1.33],9-12 hours/day(OR=1.14;95%CI:1.02-1.27)and≥12 hours/day(OR=1.26,95%CI:1.10-1.45),respectively.Mobile phone use time demonstrated a positive association with anxiety symptoms.Mobile phone addiction exhibited higher risks for both depressive symptoms(OR=3.53;95%CI:3.25-3.84)and anxiety symptoms(OR=3.73;95%CI:3.46-4.03)than those without mobile phone addiction.CONCLUSION Excessive mobile phone use time and addiction were positively correlated with depressive and anxiety symptoms,whereas overly short mobile phone use time was associated with an increased risk of depressive symptoms in college students.Interventions aimed at guarding against excessive mobile phone use time and preventing mobile phone addiction may be a vital approach to improve college students’mental health.展开更多
BACKGROUND To understand the current situation of violent behavior among hospitalized patients with severe mental disorders(SMDs),analyze its influencing factors,establish a predictive model and draw a nomogram,provid...BACKGROUND To understand the current situation of violent behavior among hospitalized patients with severe mental disorders(SMDs),analyze its influencing factors,establish a predictive model and draw a nomogram,providing screening tools for medical staff to accurately identify SMDs who have violent behavior and the direction of early intervention.AIM To investigate the determinants of violent actions in hospitalized patients with SMDs.METHODS This research included 440 inpatients with SMDs who were admitted to the Wutaishan Hospital from January 2025 to June 2025.Data collection and analysis aimed to pinpoint independent contributors linked to aggression in this patient group.An advanced logistic regression analysis with multiple variables was performed using R,followed by the creation of a line chart to display the forecast outcomes of the model.RESULTS Of 120 patients exhibited violent behavior(incidence rate=27.30%).Education level,cigarette smoking,length of hospitalization,age,psychotic symptoms based on the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale,and C-reactive protein were independent risk factors for violent behavior.Education level and age served as protective elements among the factors analyzed.The receiver operating characteristic curve area for the training and test sets was calculated to be 0.94 and 0.93,respectively.The calibration graph demonstrated that the model was accurately adjusted.The clinical decision curve demonstrated that the model provided significant practical benefits.CONCLUSION The predictive mode provided a valuable theoretical basis for ward staff to identify inpatients with SMDs at elevated risk of aggression in the early phase.展开更多
Objectives:Although standardized residency trainees are at high risk for depression,anxiety,and suicidal ideation,the psychological pathways connecting depression and anxiety to suicidal ideation,especially the modera...Objectives:Although standardized residency trainees are at high risk for depression,anxiety,and suicidal ideation,the psychological pathways connecting depression and anxiety to suicidal ideation,especially the moderating role of resilience,remain elusive.This study aimed to examine the associations between depression,anxiety,and suicidal ideation among physicians undergoing standardized residency training,and to investigate the moderating roles of different dimensions of individual resilience,namely tenacity,strength,and optimism.Methods:A convenience sampling method was adopted to recruit 133 resident physicians.Validated instruments assessing individual resilience,depressive symptoms,anxiety levels,and suicidal ideation were administered.Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationships among the variables.Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to assess the moderating roles of tenacity,strength,and optimism in the associations between depression,anxiety,and suicidal ideation.Results:Depressive symptoms and anxiety levels were both positively associated with suicidal ideation(p<0.001).All three resilience dimensions were negatively correlated with suicidal ideation(tenacity:r=−0.504,strength:r=−0.477,optimism:r=−0.440,all p<0.001).Tenacity,strength,and optimism significantly moderated the associations between depression and suicidal ideation(all p<0.05).When resilience levels in these dimensions were high,the associations between depression and suicidal ideation were weaker.Strength and optimism also moderated the associations between anxiety and suicidal ideation(strength:p=0.028,optimism:p=0.028).When the resiliences(strength and optimism)were high,the associations between anxiety and suicidal ideation were weaker.Conclusion:Individual resilience,particularly in the dimensions of tenacity,strength,and optimism,may serve as protective correlates for physicians in training,being associated with weaker relationships between depression,anxiety,and suicidal ideation.These findings highlight the potential value of resilience-enhancing strategies in clinical training settings,although causal inferences cannot be drawn due to the cross-sectional design.展开更多
