The Beishan area(BA),located along the southern margin of the Central Asian orogenic belt,represents a key region for studying the opening of the southern Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO)during the Neoproterozoic Era.Current understanding of BA's Neoproterozoic tectonic evolution remains limited because of insufficient constraints.This study presents petrological,whole-rock geochemical,Sr-Nd isotopic,zircon U-Pb dating,and Hf isotopic analyses of gabbro(765 Ma),dacitic tuff(756 Ma),syenogranite(764 Ma),and monzogranite(770 Ma)from the BA.The gabbros show high MgO(8.06-8.31 wt%)and low K2O(0.23-1.09 wt%)contents,depletion of high-field-strength elements(Nb,Ta,and Ti),(87Sr/86Sr)i ratios of 0.7051-0.7057,and positiveεNd(t)values(+2.55 to+3.19).These geochemical signatures suggest derivation from a depleted mantle metasomatized by subducted slab-derived melts,consistent with formation in a back-arc rift setting.The dacitic tuffs display negativeεNd(t)values(-16.38 to-1.29)and Zr-Hf enrichment,indicating an origin from ancient crustal melting.The syenogranites and monzogranites are characterized by high 10,000 Ga/Al and(Zr+Nb+Ce+Y)values,classifying them as A1-type granites.They yield negativeεNd(t)values(-6.66 to-2.29)and variableεHf(t)values(-3.7 to+4.8),indicating partial melting of Paleoproterozoic crust material.Based on these findings and previous studies,we propose that the initial opening of the southern PAO in the BA occurred no earlier than 770 Ma,likely driven by combined subducted slab rollback and mantle plume upwelling. 展开更多

At present,environmental problems are becoming increasingly severe,and sustainable development concerns the common destiny of all mankind around the world.Leveraging ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity data for Eurasia from 2000 to 2022,this study employs a three-dimensional ecological footprint model to conduct a multi-scale sustainability assessment.Further applying a difference-in-differences model,we analyze the impact mechanisms of the Belt and Road Initiative on Eurasia's ecological footprint.Quantile regression and heterogeneity analysis reveal Belt and Road Initiative's differential effects across countries.Key findings indicate that:(1)Eurasia's unsustainable development intensified from 2000 to 2022,with ecological footprint depth rising from 1.966 to 2.513 ha/cap,while per capita ecological footprint size declined slightly from 1.092 to 1.023 ha/cap.(2)Classifying 83 countries into 9 sustainability types based on ecological footprint depth and size,Asia showed weak sustainability(low size-medium depth and low size-low depth types),while Europe was primarily low size-medium depth with relatively stronger sustainability.Six countries experienced weakened sustainability and six improved.(3)The Belt and Road Initiative significantly increased ecological footprint in Eurasian countries,mediated by industrial structure,technological innovation,and foreign direct investment.Quantile regression indicates Belt and Road Initiative's effect is stronger in nations with lower initial ecological footprint.Heterogeneity analysis further shows Belt and Road Initiative disproportionately impacts countries with lower ecological footprint depth,smaller per capita ecological footprint size,and weaker sustainability.These insights provide critical guidance for implementing the UN 2030 Agenda and formulating Belt and Road Initiative policies to enhance long-term sustainability. 展开更多

The northern margin of the North China Block preserves multiple regional unconformities that archive accretion-subduction processes within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.To constrain their timing and origin,we conducted integrated petrographic and geochronologic analyses on two newly identified unconformity sections in the Chifeng area.Our findings reveal two distinct tectonic episodes:(1)At the Shidafen section,the Xibiehe gravelly sandstone(432±2 Ma,tuff)unconformably overlies granitic gneiss basement(2556±5 Ma)of the North China Craton.Paleogeographic evidence excludes Paleoproterozoic-Ordovician hiatuses,instead linking this unconformity to the Silurian collision between the Bainaimiao arc and North China Craton.(2)Yangshuwan section records a Carboniferous unconformity where the Qingfengshan gravelly sandstone(≤327 Ma,detrital zircon)disconformably overlies the Chaotugou tuff(355±2 Ma).This unconformity(355-327 Ma)correlates with Carboniferous unconformities on the eastern segment of the northern North China Block,representing a regional response to the transition from retreating to advancing subduction of the Paleo-Asian Ocean slab.These two regional unconformities document Silurian arc-continent collision and Carboniferous subduction-mode switch in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt,providing critical insights into accretion-to-subduction processes in accretionary orogens. 展开更多

The northern segment of the North-South Seismic Belt is characterized by intense crustal deformation,well-developed active tectonics,and frequent occurrences of strong earthquakes.Therefore,conducting a Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis(PSHA)for this region is of significant importance for supporting seismic fortification in major engineering projects and formulating disaster prevention and mitigation policies.In this study,a composite seismic source model was constructed by integrating data on historical earthquakes,active faults,and paleoseismicity.Furthermore,a logic tree framework was employed to quantify epistemic uncertainties,enabling a systematic seismic hazard assessment of the region.To more accurately characterize the spatial heterogeneity of seismic activity,improvements were made to both the Circular Spatial Smoothing Model(CSSM)with a fixed radius and the Adaptive Spatial Smoothing Model(ASSM),with full consideration given to the spatiotemporal completeness of historical earthquake magnitudes.Regarding the CSSM,for scenarios involving small sample sizes in earthquake catalogs,the cross-validation method proposed in this study demonstrated higher robustness than the maximum likelihood method in determining the optimal correlation distance.Performance evaluation results indicate that while both models effectively characterize seismic activity,the ASSM exhibits superior overall predictive performance compared to the CSSM,owing to its ability to adaptively adjust the smoothing radius according to seismic density.Significant discrepancies were observed in the Peak Ground Acceleration(PGA)results calculated with a 10%probability of exceedance in 50 years across different combinations of seismic source models.The single spatially smoothed point-source model yielded a maximum PGA of approximately 0.52 g,with high-value areas concentrated near historical epicenters,thereby significantly underestimating the hazard associated with major fault zones.When combined with the simple fault-source model,the maximum PGA increased to 0.8 g,with high-value zones exhibiting a zonal distribution along faults;however,the risk remained underestimated for faults with low slip rates that are nevertheless approaching their recurrence cycles.Following the introduction of the time-dependent characteristic fault-source model,local PGA values for faults in the middle-to-late stages of their recurrence cycles increased by a factor of 2 to 7 compared to the single model.These results demonstrate that the characteristic fault-source model reasonably delineates the time-dependence of large earthquake recurrence,thereby providing a more accurate assessment of imminent seismic risks.By comprehensively applying the improved spatially smoothed pointsource model,the simple fault-source model,and the characteristic fault-source model,the following faults within the region were identified as having high seismic hazard:the Huangxianggou,Zhangxian,and Tianshui segments of the Xiqinling northern edge fault;the Maqin-Maqu segment of the Dongkunlun fault;the Longriqu fault;the Maoergai fault;the Elashan fault;the Riyueshan fault;the eastern segment of the Lenglongling fault;the Maxianshan segment of the Maxianshan northern Margin fault;and the Maomaoshan-Jinqianghe segment of the Laohushan-Maomaoshan fault.As these faults are located within seismic gaps or are approaching the recurrence periods of large earthquakes,they should be prioritized for current and future seismic monitoring as well as disaster prevention and mitigation efforts. 展开更多

Foreign body classification on coal conveyor belts is a critical component of intelligent coal mining systems.Previous approaches have primarily utilized convolutional neural networks(CNNs)to effectively integrate spatial and semantic information.However,the performance of CNN-based methods remains limited in classification accuracy,primarily due to insufficient exploration of local image characteristics.Unlike CNNs,Vision Transformer(ViT)captures discriminative features by modeling relationships between local image patches.However,such methods typically require a large number of training samples to perform effectively.In the context of foreign body classification on coal conveyor belts,the limited availability of training samples hinders the full exploitation of Vision Transformer’s(ViT)capabilities.To address this issue,we propose an efficient approach,termed Key Part-level Attention Vision Transformer(KPA-ViT),which incorporates key local information into the transformer architecture to enrich the training information.It comprises three main components:a key-point detection module,a key local mining module,and an attention module.To extract key local regions,a key-point detection strategy is first employed to identify the positions of key points.Subsequently,the key local mining module extracts the relevant local features based on these detected points.Finally,an attention module composed of self-attention and cross-attention blocks is introduced to integrate global and key part-level information,thereby enhancing the model’s ability to learn discriminative features.Compared to recent transformer-based frameworks—such as ViT,Swin-Transformer,and EfficientViT—the proposed KPA-ViT achieves performance improvements of 9.3%,6.6%,and 2.8%,respectively,on the CUMT-BelT dataset,demonstrating its effectiveness. 展开更多

Conveyor belts serve as critical components in bulk material transportation systems,wherein longitudinal tearing constitutes one of the most severe failure modes jeopardizing operational safety.However,current detection approaches commonly face limitations in incipient tear recognition,real-time deployment,and rigorous quantitative evaluation.This study develops an integrated framework that couples single-line laser projection with an enhanced YOLOv11n-based detector(YOLO-DM)and an online tear-length estimation algorithm.YOLO-DM introduces two key advancements:(1)the Dual Enhanced Squeeze-andExcitation(DESE)attention module embedded in the backbone,in which SE(capturing global channel dependencies)and ECA(modeling local channel interactions)branches operate in parallel and are adaptively fused through learned weights to reinforce subtle tear cues;(2)a Multi-Scale Laser Line Feature Fusion(MSLF)module incorporated into the neck,featuring parallel 1×1/3×3/5×5 convolutions together with a direction-aware asymmetric convolution branch to highlight laser-stripe discontinuities,followed by scale-adaptive weighted fusion.For quantitative assessment,a spatiotemporal tracking-based duration model with boundary compensation is combined with belt-speed integration to enable online tear-length estimation.Experiments on a 3,000-image dataset show that YOLO-DM achieves 98.7%mAP@0.5 at 58.1 FPS,while tear-length estimation attains 95.8%accuracy,satisfying the requirements for realtime monitoring in mining conveyor-belt applications. 展开更多

Based on an index system established from the dimensions of ecology,life,and production,this study measures the governance efficiency of rural human settlements in the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)using the super-efficient slack-based measure model.The Gini coefficient,Markov chain,and Tobit regression model are employed to analyze the YREB’s regional disparities,dynamic trends,and influencing factors,providing a theoretical basis for promoting rural revitalization and regional coordination development.The results show that:(1)The overall governance efficiency exhibits a fluctuating uptrend,with a spatial pattern of“downstream>midstream>upstream”.(2)Moreover,regional differences of efficiency show a fluctuating downtrend,with inter-regional disparities as the primary sources.(3)The Markov chain indicates strong convergence in low-efficiency regions and low stability in high-efficiency regions.(4)Finally,governance efficiency can be significantly influenced by financial support,informatization,economic development,and education level.These results demonstrated the need for differentiated policies to narrow regional gaps and enhance synergistic,sustainable improvement in rural human settlements. 展开更多

Digital economy(DE)is on the verge of becoming a pivotal facilitator of the energy transition(ET).However,it remains to be seen to what extent China's outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)can stimulate the development of the DE and promote ET under the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Employing a nonparametric additive model,this study examines this issue by using panel data from 84 BRI countries spanning 2007–2022.The connections between China's OFDI and the DE and ET of BRI nations vary across different regions.China's OFDI has considerably fostered the ET of nations along its route to Central Asia,Europe,North Africa,and the Middle East.Conversely,in the Pacific and East Asian regions,China's OFDI has a constructive effect on the advancement of DE in participating nations.However,the effect of China's OFDI on the ET of nations in the Pacific Islands and East Asia and South Asia is statistically insignificant.Moreover,China's OFDI impairs the DE of nations in Central Asia and Europe,the Caribbean and Latin America,as well as North Africa and the Middle East.Notably,the net effect of China's OFDI on ET is positive;however,the mediating effect of facilitating ET through DE is not pronounced. 展开更多

The Earth's outer radiation belt contains a large number of relativistic(500 keV)electrons,which can exhibit different pitch angle distributions(PADs).Whistler-mode chorus waves are considered an important factor governing the evolution of electron PADs,but their long-term and global effects remain insufficiently studied.This paper presents a statistical analysis using observations from the Van Allen Probes during 2013-2018.A pitch angle anisotropy index A is employed to characterize electron PADs,and its correlation with chorus waves is investigated.Statistical results show that when chorus waves intensify,the index A increases,implying that electrons tend to exhibit pancake PADs.In addition,the index A is found to be positively correlated with enhanced solar wind dynamic pressure or substorm activity.Our results demonstrate that chorus waves play an important role in accelerating relativistic electrons and reshaping their PADs,which contributes to a deeper insight into the physical mechanisms underlying the dynamic evolution of the outer radiation belt. 展开更多

How Does Rapid Urbanization Influence Ecosystem Services?Insights from the Yangtze River Economic Belt,China 认领 引用

Rapid urbanization(UR)profoundly reshapes landscape patterns and modifies ecological functions,thereby affecting ecosystem services(ES).While previous research has explored this topic,studies examining the complex relationship between UR and ES indicators remain scarce.Taking the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB),China as a case study,this study integrates ecological modeling,Random Forest,geographically weighted regression,and bivariate local spatial autocorrelation to analyze the spatiotemporal relationships and interaction mechanisms between multidimensional UR indicators and multiple types of ES from 1980 to 2020.The results show that UR in the YREB follows a clear east-high,west-low gradient pattern,with economic and land urbanization growing notably faster than population urbanization.Among ES,water yield(WY),soil retention(SR),and carbon sequestration have all increased,while habitat quality(HQ)has remained generally stable with a slight decline.UR exerts nonlinear and spatially heterogeneous effects on ES,with SR and HQ negatively affected by population density(POPD)and urban land proportion(ULP),GDP density(GDPD)having positive effects,WY negatively influenced by POPD,net ecosystem productivity(NEP)negatively impacted by ULP,and other UR and ES indicators showing more complex patterns.The spatial interaction between UR and ES is largely characterized by a‘Low URHigh ES'pattern,which enables the functional division of the YREB into Ecological Conservation Areas,Ecological Enhancement Areas,Ecological Source Areas,and Ecological Restoration Areas.This study provides a scientific basis for coordinating regional development and ecological conservation by revealing the spatiotemporal feedback mechanisms within the UR-ES subsystem.The Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB),China was selected as the study area for this study.As an inland river economic belt with global influence and a pioneering demonstration zone for ecological civilization construction,the YREB has experienced rapid UR since China's reform and opening-up policy in 1978.By 2020,its GDP had reached 47.2 trillion CNY,accounting for about 46.4% of the national total,and its UR rate had exceeded 60%(National Bureau of Statistics of China,2021),making its development process a microcosm of China's broader economic transformation and a representative example of the global UR process.Importantly,the YREB exhibits a notable ecological gradient and UR development differences from west to east(Xu et al.,2021),encompassing both low-and highlevel city types in terms of UR and ES.This diversity provides a representative ideal region for exploring the dynamic changes of ES under different UR contexts. 展开更多

Neoproterozoic Sendra Ambaji Granitoid forms a NE-SW trending,~360-km-long belt of intruding Mesoproterozoic metasedimentary rocks of the Delhi Supergroup along the Phulad Shear Zone in the South Delhi Fold Belt,northwest India.All work previously carried out on this granitoid is concentrated in the northern part of the belt,leading to difficulties in defining its petrogenesis and tectonic setting.To fill these knowledge gaps,a 350-km2 area has been mapped in the southern extent of the belt between Sayra and Dhanbari.Field characteristics such as contact relationship,structure and geochemical characteristics are considered.Field studies show the presence of multiple cogenetic gneissose and non-gneissose but crudely foliated granitoid variants,which have been mapped separately.Three phases of ductile deformation and two phases of metamorphism in amphibolite facies akin to Phulad Ophiolite Suite are observed in all the granitoid variants.Refolding of gniessosity with the second deformation is observed in the granitoids and the Phulad Ophiolite Suite.Geochemical studies indicate that these granitoids are metaluminous to peraluminous,magnesian to ferroan,high K-alkaline fractionated Ⅰ-type granitoids.Their composition is governed by partial melting of metasedimentary and mafic rocks of the continental crust at high temperature and subsequent fractionation,which has led to overlapping of S-and A-type granites on the Ⅰ-type Sendra Ambaji Granitoid.The granitoids plot in both orogenic and post-collisional or withinplate fields.These signatures corroborate the inferences reached during field work,suggesting that Sendra Ambaji Granitoids were emplaced during the waning phases of orogeny in a subduction-related Andean-type continental arc setting.However,the emplacement of the granitoids continued post-orogeny.This collisional event is correlated with the amalgamation of the Rhodinia supercontinent. 展开更多

The roller is one of the fundamental elements of ore belt conveyor systems since it supports,guides,and directs material on the belt.This component comprises a body(the external tube)that rotates around a fixed shaft supported by easels.The external tube and shaft of rollers used in ore conveyor belts are mostly made of steel,resulting in high mass,hindering maintenance and replacement.Aiming to achieve mass reduction,we conducted a structural optimization of a roller with a polymeric external tube(hereafter referred to as a polymeric roller),seeking the optimal values for two design parameters:the inner diameter of the external tube and the shaft diameter.The optimization was constrained by admissible values for maximum stress,maximum deflection and misalignment angle between the shaft and bearings.A finite element model was built in Ansys Workbench to obtain the structural response of the system.The roller considered is composed of an external tube made of high-density polyethylene(HDPE),bearing seats of polyamide 6(PA6),and a steel shaft.To characterize the polymeric materials(HDPE and PA6),stress relaxation tests were conducted,and the data on shear modulus variation over time were inserted into the model to calculate Prony series terms to account for viscoelastic effects.The roller optimization was performed using surrogate modeling based on radial basis functions,with the Globalized Bounded Nelder-Mead(GBNM)algorithm as the optimizer.Two optimization cases were conducted.In the first case,concerning the roller’s initial material settings,the designs found violated the constraints and could not reduce mass.In the second case,by using PA6 in both bearing seats and the tube,a design configuration was found that respected all constraints and reduced the roller mass by 15.5%,equivalent to 5.15 kg.This study is among the first to integrate experimentally obtained viscoelastic data into the surrogate-based optimization of polymeric rollers,combining methodological innovation with industrial relevance. 展开更多

The Gangdese magmatic belt is ideal for studying crustal growtheworking and crustmantle interaction processes.In this study,we report a newly identified late Early Eocene granitic pluton and mafic microgranular enclaves(MMEs)in the Middle Gangdese magmatic belt.The MMEs hosted within the granitic pluton display fine-grained textures and contain more mafic minerals(amphibole and clinopyroxene)than the host pluton.The sharp contacts and fine-grained textures of the MMEs as well as acicular apatite crystals indicate a rapid quenching process.Zircon UPb dating results indicate that the host pluton formed ca.48.41±0.29 Ma(MSWD=0.58),and MMEs crystallized at 48.94±0.56 Ma(MSWD=2.9),potentially suggesting a crust-mantle interaction process during the late Early Eocene.Geochemically,the host pluton has variable silica contents(SiO2)of 58.67 wt.%–64.65 wt.%,Mg#values of 42–58,and low aluminum saturation ratios(A/CNK=0.81–0.91)that show an I-type granitic affinity.Additionally,the host pluton is characterized by enrichment of light rare earth elements(LREEs)and large ion lithophile elements(LILEs),and depletion of high field strength elements(HFSEs)that show arc-type geochemical features.Like the host pluton,the MMEs also show arc-type geochemical features characterized by enrichment of LREEs and LILEs but depletion of HFSEs.Isotopically,the host pluton and associated MMEs both have depleted Hf isotopic compositions Additionally,the host pluton and MMEs have low Ce4+/Ce3+ratios of 18.48–114.29 and 2.59–36.45,resembling Chilean ore-barren granitoid rocks.Integrated with petrological and whole-rock geochemical and zircon Hf isotopic features,we argue that the host pluton originated from partial melting of juvenile mafic lower crust with the contribution of mantle-derived materials.The MMEs were derived from partial melting of depleted mantle and was a product of two end-member magmas mixing.Based on the previous studies,we argue that the late Early Eocene magmatism and crust-mantle interaction were related to the breakoff the Neo-Tethyan oceanic slab,and further propose that crustal large-scale thickening might begin during the Middle–Late Eocene in the Gangdese magmatic belt rather than the Early Eocene. 展开更多

People-oriented new-type urbanization emphasizes the synergistic improvement of level and quality.This study,based on a quantity-quality synergy perspective,constructs a unified theoretical framework integrating these two dimensions.Focusing on the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)from 2000 to 2022,this study comprehensively examines its new-type urbanization using methods including the entropy method,kernel density estimation,and a synergy evolution model,with driving mechanisms revealed by a Geodetector.The results indicate that:(1)Both the urbanization level and quality in the YREB have continuously increased,with the level rising from 32.54 to 61.64 and the quality from 43.47 to 67.93.However,the urbanization level remains below the national average and exhibits significant regional disparities.(2)The spatial pattern reveals a hierarchical gradient characterized by“downstream leading,midstream in the middle,and upstream lowest”.While central cities demonstrate radiating effects,siphoning effects persist in major southwestern cities,and the northern downstream area lags behind.(3)The synergistic evolution of urbanization level and quality significantly improved,transitioning from a polarized state of“quality lag”and“level imbalance”towards coordinated development.(4)The urbanization development patterns have shifted from extensive to optimal and imbalanced types.The downstream region is dominated by the optimal type,while the midstream and upstream areas primarily exhibit the imbalanced pattern,highlighting a significant potential for level improvement.(5)New-type urbanization in the YREB is driven by the synergistic effects of natural endowment,government regulation,and market adjustment,forming a tripartite system where“Innovation+”plays a particularly crucial role.This research provides a scientific basis for promoting new-type urbanization construction and high-quality development. 展开更多

The Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt within the North China Craton had undergone a complex tectonic evolution,marked by extensive Paleoproterozoic magmatism that produced a diverse range of mafic to felsic magmatic rocks.These events provide valuable geological records for understanding the tectonic evolution of the Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt.This study focuses on the Paleoproterozoic Chibaisong meta-gabbro in southern Jilin,investigating the source of mafic magma,petrogenesis,and tectonic setting through systematic petrological analysis,zircon U-Pb dating,and geochemical studies.The findings contribute to constraining the dynamic mechanisms of Paleoproterozoic extensional rifting in the Jiao-Liao-Ji orogenic belt.Geochemical data indicate that the samples exhibit low SiO₂(47.99–50.66 wt.%),TiO₂(0.75–3.20 wt.%),Nb(3.22–8.09 ppm),and Ta(0.22–0.51 ppm)contents,along with high TFeO₃(11.97–15.82 wt.%)and MgO(5.67–12.66 wt.%)concentrations.They also show low Nb/La ratios and high(Th/Nb)N values,consistent with the geochemical characteristics of tholeiitic basalts.The samples display low total rare earth element concentrations,weak or absent Eu anomalies,slight enrichment in light rare earth elements,relatively flat heavy rare earth element patterns,and depletion in Nb,Ta,and Ti.The meta-gabbro from southern Jilin exhibits geochemical similarities to Paleoproterozoic metamafic rocks from other regions of the Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt,resembling enriched mid-ocean ridge basalts(E-MORB)with Nb,Ta,and Ti depletion.Integration of previous studies and geochemical data suggests that the 2.16–2.10 Ga metamafic rocks in the Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt experienced contamination by older crustal material.These results indicate that the 2.16–2.10 Ga metamafic rocks are unlikely to be associated with island arc,continental arc,or mid-ocean ridge settings.Instead,they are more likely related to intraplate magmatism associated with continental rifting. 展开更多

Green finance,trade diversification,and institutional quality as catalysts for sustainable industrialization:An empirical analysis of selected Asian Belt and Road Initiative Economies 认领 引用

Asian economies of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)face growing pressure to sustain industrial expansion while meeting environmental goals,yet limited cross-country evidence exists on how green finance,trade diversification,and institutional quality jointly shape sustainable industrialization.This study empirically examines how green finance,trade diversification,and institutional quality act as catalysts for sustainable industrialization in selected Asian BRI economies.Using panel data for 30 Asian BRI countries over the 2004-2022 period,the analysis evaluates how these factors jointly shape sustainable industrialization under the dual pressures of industrial expansion and environmental sustainability.To address endogeneity and unobserved heterogeneity,we employ fixed effects models,the Kiviet-corrected estimator,and the two-step System Generalized Method of Moments.Our findings show that green finance and import diversification significantly promote sustainable industrialization,measured by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s Sustainable Industrial Development Index.Green finance supports a greener industrial transition by channeling resources toward environmentally sustainable technologies and investments,whereas import diversification facilitates access to clean technologies and strengthens supply chain resilience.Institutional quality amplifies these benefits,with stronger governance frameworks accelerating the implementation of green industrial policies.By contrast,export diversification undermines sustainable industrialization when it remains concentrated in resource-intensive,low value-added items,highlighting the risks associated with the“resource curse”.The findings underscore the need for integrated policy measures that combine green financing incentives,strategic trade reorientation,and institutional reform.Control variables such as gross domestic product,trade openness,information and communication technology,and natural resource endowments also shape industrialization trajectories.Overall,this study contributes to the sustainable development literature by providing empirical evidence on how financial,trade,and governance systems foster green industrial transitions.The policy implications emphasize targeted green funding,technology-oriented import strategies,anti-corruption measures,and value-added export diversification to align BRI-related economic growth with environmental sustainability objectives. 展开更多

The Framework Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative in Malaysian Chinese Media:A Case Study of Sin Chew Daily 认领 引用

This study takes Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to China in November 2024 as its starting point to examine how Malaysia’s largest Chinese-language newspaper,Sin Chew Daily,framed China’s Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)in the 10 months following the visit.The trip coincided with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations and marked Anwar’s second visit to China that year.Using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative content analysis(n=512 articles)with qualitative framing analysis,the study identifies how the newspaper constructed a predominantly positive and government-aligned narrative of the BRI within Malaysia’s multicultural media environment.Results show a strong emphasis on the economic cooperation frame(67.2%)and a consistently favorable reporting tone(76.6%),accompanied by a heavy reliance on government and elite sources(69.9%).Critical or risk-oriented frames were marginal(2.0%).Situated within theories of media framing and Asian media systems,the findings suggest that Sin Chew Daily’s coverage reflects both the commercial-economic interests of its Chinese-Malaysian readership and Malaysia’s broader political communication norms,which encourage alignment with state foreign policy.The study argues that the newspaper’s narrative construction reinforces a narrow range of perspectives on the BRI by privileging official discourses while marginalizing public voices and critical viewpoints.This contributes to understanding how ethnic-language media in Southeast Asia participate in nation-level foreign policy communication and how China-Malaysia media cooperation may shape reporting on cross-border initiatives.The article concludes by outlining implications for media pluralism and recommending comparative research across Malaysia’s multilingual press ecosystem. 展开更多
