The catalytic performance of Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3catalyst in CO_2 methanation reaction was investigated. Compared with Ru/Al_2O_3 catalyst, the Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3catalytic system exhibited a much higher activity in CO_2 methanation reaction. The reaction rate over Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3 was 0.59 mol CO_2·(g Ru)1·h-1, 3.1 times higher than that on Ru/Al_2O_3[0.19 mol CO_2·(gRu)-1·h-1]. The effect of TiO_2 content and TiO_2–Al_2O_3calcination temperature on catalytic performance was addressed. The corresponding structures of each catalyst were characterized by means of H_2-TPR, XRD, and TEM. Results indicated that the averaged particle size of the Ru on TiO_2–Al_2O_3support is 2.8 nm, smaller than that on Al_2O_3 support of 4.3 nm. Therefore, we conclude that the improved activity over Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3catalyst is originated from the smaller particle size of ruthenium resulting from a strong interaction between Ru and the rutile-TiO_2 support, which hindered the aggregation of Ru nanoparticles.展开更多

The microstructures and phase compositions of the coated C/C composites were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The result shows that the SiC-MoSi2/ZrO2-MoSi2 coating is dense and crack-free with a thickness of 250-300 μm. The preparation and the high temperature oxidation property of the coated composites were investigated. The as-received coating has excellent oxidation protection ability and can protect C/C composites from oxidation for 260 h at 1773 K in air. The excellent anti-oxidation performance of the coating is considered to come from the formation of ZrSiO4, which improves the stability of the coating at high temperatures.展开更多

The microstructure and phase composition of the coating were investigated by SEM and XRD.: The results show that adding an appropriate amount of yttrium ion can improve the growing rate of ceramic coating at different oxidation stages and decrease arc voltage. The thickness of ZrO2-Y2O3 coating is 16 μn thicker than that of ZrO2 coating and the maximum oxidation rate improves by 0.6 μm/min. In addition, the arc voltage decreases from 227 to 172 V. It can be seen that the rate of oxidation firstly increases to some extent and then decreases with the content of yttrium ion increasing. The growth rate reaches the maximum while the content of yttrium ion is 0.05 g-L-1The maximum thickness is 90 μm.Compared to ZrO2 coating, the micropores of ZrO2-Y2O3 coating are less and the ceramic layer is repeatedly deposited by ZrO2 and Y2O3 ceramic particles. Meanwhile, the binding force between coating and substrate is better and the coating is uniform and compact. The ceramic layer is mainly composed of c-Y0.15Zr0.85O1.93□0.07, m-ZrO2, α-Al2O3, ,γ-Al2O3 and Y2O3. It is indicated that ZrO2 has beert fully stabilized by yttrium ion through the formation of solid solution.展开更多

The catalysts are prepared by doping MgO- and CeO2-based solids with oxides from alkali (Li2O), alkaline earth (CaO), and transition metal groups (WO3 or MnO). The presence of the peroxide (O2-2) active sites on the Li2O2, revealed by Raman spectroscopy, may be the key factor in the enhanced performance of some of the Li2O/MgO catalysts. The high reducibility of the CeO2 catalyst, an important factor in the CO2-OCM catalyst activity, may be enhanced by the presence of manganese oxide species. The manganese oxide species increases oxygen mobility and oxygen vacancies in the CeO2 catalyst. Raman and Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR) spectroscopies revealed the presence of lattice vibrations of metal-oxygen bondings and active sites in which the peaks corresponding to the bulk crystalline structures of Li2O, CaO, WO3 and MnO are detected. The performance of 5%MnO/15%CaO/CeO2 catalyst is the most potential among the CeO2-based catalysts, although lower than the 2%Li2O/MgO catalyst. The 2%Li2O/MgO catalyst showed the most promising C2+ hydrocarbons selectivity and yield at 98.0% and 5.7%, respectively.展开更多

The columnar grains in the TBCs disappear after the HIPIB irradiation at ion current densities of 100-200 A/cm^2 and the irradiated surface becomes smooth and densified after remelting and ablation due to the HIPIB irradiation. The thermally grown oxide (TGO) layer thickness of the irradiated TBCs is smaller than that of the original TBCs. After 15 cycles, the mass gains of the original TBCs and those irradiated by ion current densities of 100 and 200 A/cm^2 due to the oxidation are found to be 0.8-0.9, 0.6-0.7, and 0.3-0.4 mg/cm^2, respectively. The inward diffusion of oxygen through the irradiated TBCs is significantly impeded by the densified top layer formed due to irradiation, which is the main reason for the improved overall oxidation resistance of the irradiated TBCs.展开更多

Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and ultraviolet-visible (Uv-vis) spectroscopic investigations provide the evidence of the presence of both benzenoid and quinoid ring units. The thermal analysis and structural characterization data suggests that the oxidant ratio greatly controls the molecular ordering in PDMA. Surface morphology shows the existence of both amorphous and crystalline domains wherein the crystalline domain size depends on the oxidant ratio. The dc conductivity (σdc) of PDMA is also a function of binary oxidant ratio and at FeCl3:APS (50:50), it increases by two orders of magnitude. Films of PDMA synthesized using FeCl3:APS (50:50) binary oxidant exhibits a decrease in the surface current on exposure to ammonia gas.展开更多

In spite of a major effort devoted to the mechanism of ferromagnetism with a high Curie temperature in these materials, it still remains the most controversial research topic, especially given the unexpected do ferromagnetism in a series of undoped wide-band-gap oxides films or nanostructures. Recently, an abundance of research has shown the critical role of various defects in the origin and control of spontaneous magnetic ordering, but contradicting views from intertwined theoretical calculations and experiments require more in-depth systematic research. In our previous work, considerable efforts have been focused on two major oxides, i.e. ZnO and Zr02. This review will present a summary of current experimental status of this defect-driven ferromag- netism in dilute magnetic oxides (DMOs).展开更多

T...This paper describes the effect of the prepara- tion method of binary oxide supports (TiO2-Al2O3) on catalytic performance of V2O5/TiO2-Al2O3 catalysts for methanol selective oxidation to dimethoxymethane (DMM). The TiO2-A1203 supports are synthesized by a number of methods including mechanical mixing, ball milling, precipitation, co-precipitation, and sol-gel method, which is followed by incipient wetness impregnation to produce V2O5/TiO2-Al2O3 catalysts. Among these samples, the V2O5/TiO2-Al2O3 catalyst prepared by the sol-gel method has the best catalytic performance with a maximum methanol conversion of 48.9 % and a high DMM selectivity of 89.9 % at 393 K, showing superior performance than V2O5/TiO2 and V2O5/Al2O3. The excellent catalytic performance of V2O5/TiO2-Al2O3 is attributed to the effective interaction between the active component and the mixed support. Such interaction changes the chemical states of supported active V components, produces an increased amount of V^4+ species, and facilitates the electron transfer between support and active component. Additionally, the incorporation of titanium cation into the alumina structure could also help produce an appropriate amount of acidic sites, which increases the DMM selectivity. The coordinated environment of the dispersed vanadia on TiO2-Al2O3 mixed support improves the catalytic efficiency on methanol oxidation to DMM.展开更多

摘要The high-temperature oxidation resistance behavior of 7% (mass fraction) Y203-ZrO2 thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) irradiated by high-intensity pulsed ion beam (HIPIB) was investigated under the cyclic oxidation condition of 1 050 ℃ and 1 h. The inward diffusion of oxygen through the irradiated TBCs is significantly impeded by the densified top layer formed due to irradiation, which is the main reason for the improved overall oxidation resistance of the irradiated TBCs.

Trivalent chromium electroplating using Ti/IrO2+Ta2O5 anodes is carried out and the results were analyzed. Results show that this anode exhibits excellent electrochemical activity and stability in sulfate electrolysis. The electrocatalytic activity is determined not only by the content of IrO2 but also the structure and morphology of the anode coatings. The electroplating results indicats that Ti/IrO2+Ta2O5 anodes have excellent capabilities and merits in improving the stability of trivalent chromium electroplating in sulfate system.

摘要In the past several decades, dilute magnetic semiconductors, particularly the dilute magnetic oxides have evolved into an important branch of materials science due to their potential application in spintronic devices combining of properties of semiconductors and ferromagnets. This review will present a summary of current experimental status of this defect-driven ferromag- netism in dilute magnetic oxides (DMOs).

摘要Tube-type CO_2 gas sensors based on NASICON (Na Super Ion Conductor) material were fabricated. The material was synthesized by conventional sol-gel method, and the resulted powders were characterized by XRD.The tube-type CO_2 sensor was prepared with the sensing electrode Li_2CO_3-BaCO_3 binary carbonates in molar ratio 1:1.5.The concentration of CO_2 range from 300μg/g to 3000μg/g,the sensitivity of the sensor was 62.3 mV/decade.The response and recovery time (90%)corresponding to the switching change between 300μg/g and 1000μg/g CO_2 were 20 s and 2 min, respectively. If the sensing electrode was modified with binary oxides, the steady time of the sensor could be greatly reduced from 30 min to 5 min and the stability and humid-resistance of the sensor were improved.

摘要This paper describes the effect of the prepara- tion method of binary oxide supports (TiO2-Al2O3) on catalytic performance of V2O5/TiO2-Al2O3 catalysts for methanol selective oxidation to dimethoxymethane (DMM). The coordinated environment of the dispersed vanadia on TiO2-Al2O3 mixed support improves the catalytic efficiency on methanol oxidation to DMM.

摘要In order to in situ measure chemical parameters of deep-sea water and hydrothermal fluids at midocean ridge(MOR),it is necessary to use high temperature and high pressure chemical sensors.Developing new sensors is essential to measure in-situ pH and other chemical parameters(dissolved H2,dissolved H2S)of deep-sea water and hydrothermal fluids in a wide temperature range(2℃―400℃)at MOR vents. The YSZ(Yttria Stabilized Zirconia,9%Y2O3)ceramic-based(HgO/Hg)chemical sensors possess excellent electrochemical properties at high temperatures, which have been used to measure chemical parameters of hydrothermal fluids above 200℃.A novel Zr/ZrO2 oxidationeduction electrode was constructed by oxidation of Zr wire in Na2CO3 melt. This Zr/ZrO2 electrode has good chemical stability while measuring pH of high-temperature aqueous solutions, combined with a Ag/AgCl reference electrode.Potentials of the Zr/ZrO2 sensor in association with a Ag/AgCl reference electrode vary linearly with pH over a wide pH range,as tested by various NaCl-HCl-H2O solutions(NaOH-NaCl-H2O for basic solutions),at temperatures in the range of 20℃―200℃.Thus,the Zr/ZrO2 sensors can be utilized in monitoring the fluids over the temperature range of 2℃―200℃.The Zr/ZrO2 electrode combined with Ag/AgCl,Ag/Ag2S,and Au electrodes has been used to measure pH and other chemical parameters(dissolved H2,dissolved H2S)of aqueous fluids from low to high temperatures and high pressures in the laboratory and to monitor those parameters of deep-sea water in South China Sea.
