The experimental results showed that the selective catalytic reduction(SCR) performance and SO2-resistant ability of TiO2-SiO2-WO3 were greatly enhanced by the introduction of cerium. The catalyst containing 10% CeO2 showed the highest NO conversion in a wide temperature range and good N2 selectivity with broad operation temperature window at the gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) of 30000 h–1, which was a very promising catalyst for NOx abatement from diesel engine exhaust. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDS), N2 adsorption-desorption(BET) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The characterization results showed that the bigger pore radius, higher surface atomic concentration and dispersion of Ce and the abundant adsorbed oxygen on the surface of catalyst contributed to the best NH3-SCR performance of CeO2/TiO2-SiO2-WO3 catalyst containing 10% CeO2.展开更多

X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), UV-visible spectro-photometer and automatic colorimeter were used to investigate the properties of the samples. The results showed that the compact SiO2 film formed on the surface of Ce2S3 pigment at a cerium silicon molar ratio of 2. The thermal stability temperature of Ce2S3 pigment was improved to 450 oC after SiO2 coating. In addition, the color of Ce2S3 pigment was not affected significantly through coating colorless and transparent SiO2 and it could be used as safe red pigment in higher temperature fields.展开更多

The prop- erties of the samples were characterized by Fourier trans- form infrared spectra (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction pattern (XRD), Scanning electron micrographs (SEM), and Zeta potential. Degradation of methyl violet was used as a probe reaction to explore the influencing factors on the photodegradation reaction. The results show that the opti- mal conditions are as follows: initial concentration of methyl violet of 10 mg·L^-1, pH of 3.0, catalyst dosage of 2.9 g·L^-1, and light irradiation time of 2.5 h. Under these conditions, the degradation rate of methyl violet is 95.4 %. The reaction on photodegradation for methyl violet can be expressed as the first-order kinetic model, and the possible mechanism for the photocatalysis under simulated natural light is suggested. After used continuously for five times, the catalyst keeps the inherent photocatalytic activity for degradation of dyes. The photodegradation of methyl orange, methyl red, naphthol green B, and methylene blue was also tested, and the degradation rate of dyes can reach 81%-100%.展开更多

The effects of calcination temperature and refluxing system on the composition and properties of lithium silicate were investigated. The samples were characterized by TGA/DTA, XRD, SEM and particle size analysis. Li2FeSiO4 was prepared by the solid-state reaction between Li2SiO3 and FeC2O4·2H2O. The XRD patterns show that the use of refluxing system in the sol-gel preparation can decrease the Li2Si2O5 and Li4SiO4 impurities in the Li2SiO3 sample. The calcination temperature plays an important role in the properties of the Li2SiO3 samples. The sample calcined at 700 °C has high purity of 97% Li2SiO3 and good morphology as precursor of Li2FeSiO4. It consists of primary particles with size of 1-3 μm, and the primary particle clusters form agglomerates with loose and porous appearance.展开更多
