摘要Conventional ultrasound(US)evaluation of enthesitis in psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is limited by its inability to quantify metabolic alterations such as hypoxia,a key driver of disease activity. We introduce an oxygenation-integrated multimodal photoacoustic/ultrasound(PA/US)imaging framework designed to quantify entheseal oxygen saturation(SO2)for assessing entheseal disease activity in PsA.In this cross-sectional study,25 PsA patients underwent bilateral PA/US imaging of 12 entheses, where ultrasound lesions were scored using the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology scoring system, and PA-derived SO2 levels, quantified via dual-wavelength PA imaging, were classified into hyperoxia or hypoxia groups using k-means clustering. This approach provides metabolic insights complementary to conventional ultrasonic assessment.A composite score integrating hypoxia with US parameters was validated against clinical disease activity indices(Disease Activity Score 28-C-reactive protein,DAS28-CRP;Disease Activity Index for Psoriatic Arthritis,DAPSA).Among 300 entheses,103(34.3%)exhibited PA positivity, with 40(38.8%)classified as hypoxia.Hypoxia scores independently predicted DAS28-CRP(β=0.618,p=0.001)and DAPSA(β=0.612,p<0:001).The hypoxia-optimized PAUS score demonstrated superior correlation with disease activity indices compared to conventional US(DAS28-CRP:r=0.615,p=0.001 versus r=0.474,p=0.017;DAPSA:r=0.743,p<0:001 versus r=0.567,p=0.003),alongside superior diagnostic accuracy for minimal disease activity(area under the curve,AUC 0.776 versus 0.614,p=0.008)and low disease activity(AUC 0.853 versus 0.772,p=0.009).This multimodal scoring system enhances the stratification of PsA disease activity by providing unique metabolic insights, offering a potential tool for therapeutic monitoring and guiding treat-to-target strategies.

摘要Overweight and obesity are significant public health concerns worldwide due to their association with many chronic health conditions. This has resulted in the development of various interventions focused on weight loss to reduce the associated health burden.Physical activity is an important lifestyle behavior associated with enhanced health.Evidence supports that many of the benefits of physical activity are realized independent of initial weight status or whether weight loss is achieved, with some benefits additive to what is achieved with weight loss alone. These benefits include enhanced cardiometabolic, brain, cognitive and psychological health, and others. Moreover,in adults with overweight or obesity, physical activity has independent effects on cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, physical function, and mobility. There are also benefits to body composition, with physical activity improving the quality of key tissues, such as skeletal muscle, which may not occur with diet-induced weight loss. Therefore, physical activity is an important public health target for adults with overweight or obesity to provide a wide range of health benefits that extend beyond those of weight loss alone. However, physical activity recommendations and programming efforts should consider the unique characteristics of adults with overweight or obesity to be most effective, and should support a focus on mobility, physical function, and other health outcomes.
摘要Diabetes,a leading global chronic disease, poses a significant health threat, with physical inactivity being a major risk factor for its development and progression. This guideline, developed by the Chinese Society of Endocrinology, synthesizes the latest evidence and expert insights to provide evidence-based recommendations for physical activity and exercise therapy in adults with type 2 diabetes(T2D).It is generally recommended that all adult patients with T2D engage in at least 150—300 min of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week,or a minimum of75—150 min of vigorous-intensity exercise,or an equivalent combination of moderate-and vigorous-intensity exercise(with a total exercise volume of at least 450 metabolic equivalent-min per week). For patients with T2D who are capable, moderate over-exercise and a combination of different forms of exercise(aerobic,resistance,flexibility,and/or balance training)are encouraged. The guideline also underscores the necessity of targeting specific subgroups of patients with T2D,including the elderly, individuals with obesity or pre-obesity,cardiovascular disease, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease,and/or diabetic foot and its high-risk populations. The guideline provides a scientific basis for clinicians to develop personalized exercise guidance and recommendations, with the goal of improving the disease prognosis of the relevant population.

摘要Background:Although light-intensity physical activity(LPA)has been suggested to be associated with a lower risk of mortality, the minimal and optimal volumes of LPA remain unclear. We aimed to examine the minimal and optimal volumes of LPA associated with the risks of mortality and disease incidence(i.e.,cardiovascular diseases and cancer). Methods:Data were derived from the population-based UK Biobank cohort study, including 69,492 adults aged 43-78 years.Accelerometermeasured LPA was defined using a validated, published machine learning-based Random Forest activity method, which was categorized into 4 quartile groups.All-cause and cause-specific mortality(cardiovascular disease-and cancer-specific)were determined according to the International Classification of Diseases,10th version codes.Disease incidence was defined based on primary care, hospitalization,or death records. Results:During a median follow-up period of 8.04 years,2024 adults died from all causes,539 from cardiovascular disease, and 1175 from cancer. For all-cause mortality, compared with participants in the lowest quartile of LPA(<3.9 h/day),the hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs)were 0.82(95%CI:0.73-0.93)for those with 3.9 to<5.0 h/day,0.75(95%CI:0.66-0.85)for those with 5.0 to<6.1 h/day,and 0.77(95%CI:0.68-0.88)for those with≥6.1 h/day,respectively.There was an inverse non-linear dose-response association between LPA and all-cause mortality, with an optimal dose of 5.72 h/day(95%CI:5.45-6.41;HR=0.63,95%CI:0.56-0.71)and a minimal dose of 3.59 h/day(95%CI:3.53-8.56;HR=0.81,95%CI:0.78-0.86),with the 5th percentile as the reference.Similar patterns were observed for cause-specific mortality and disease incidence(cardiovascular disease and cancer). Conclusion:Engaging in LPA for~3.5 h/day was conservatively associated with lower risk of mortality and disease incidence, with further risk reductions observed up to an optimal dose of~6.0 h/day.These findings suggest that sufficient LPA offers important health benefits, which can inform the development of future PA guidelines.

摘要The present study aimed to investigate the effect of the most frequently used cut-points(CoPs)on quantification of active children,as well as to analyse children physical activity(PA)quantification using vertical axis and vector magnitude(VM).The sample comprised 303 children(160 girls)aged 6 years–10 years.Height, weight and BMI were assessed to control for confounding variables related to PA levels. The tri-axial accelerometer was used for seven consecutive days of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA)and sedentary behaviour(SB);especific pediatric cutpoints for children(Evenson;Freedson;Puyau;Pulsford;and Mattocks)were used.A general linear model was used;the agreements of all CoPs were analyzed by Kappa index.Freedson CoPs presented the highest percentage of active children(100%)for males and females during the weekdays, weekend, and for total assessed days. The Mattocks CoPs revealed the lowest proportion of active children for the weekdays(2.97%),weekend days(3.30%),and for the seven assessed days(1.65%).The interpretation of accelerometer results must be critiqued in respect to whether children are meeting publicly adopted PA guidelines. The growing variety of analytical approaches and CoPs employed to analyse and evaluate accelerometer data in children makes it difficult to compare findings across different studies.

摘要Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)face sluggish sulfur reduction reaction kinetics and severe polysulfide shuttling issues, which significantly limit their performance. In this work,a multifunctional separator with a 3D porous framework featuring confined pore structures and selective adsorption capability is constructed to address these challenges.Within this separator,Lewis acid-base interactions between Ce-MOF-808 and lignosulfonate(SL)effectively regulate the Ce4+catalytic activity, thereby lowering the kinetic barrier and accelerating the conversion of short-chain polysulfides into insoluble Li2S during the liquidsolid transformation.Furthermore,SL prevents the accumulation of long-chain polysulfides near the Ce4+sites through localized electrostatic repulsion, avoiding catalyst poisoning and thereby maintaining continuous catalytic availability. These synergistic effects collectively enable long-lasting catalytic activity toward polysulfide conversion in LSBs,resulting in a fivefold enhancement in capacity and an impressively low capacity decay rate of just 0.033%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1C.This work underscores the transformative potential of Lewis acid-base interactions for enhancing sulfur redox kinetics and introduces a versatile methodology for designing advanced separators for LSBs.

摘要Five novel sulfur-containing benzyl metabolites, designated as gastrabenzylsulfoxides A and B(1 and 2), gastrabenzylsulfinate A(3) and gastrabenzylsulfides A and B(4 and 5), along with four known compounds(6-9), were isolated from the aqueous extracts of Gastrodia elata.Compounds 1 and 4 are 4-hydroxy-3-(4′-hydroxybenzyl)benzyl-substituted sulfoxide and sulfide, respectively, which are unprecedented in natural products. Compound 3 represents a rare sulfinate. Several isolates and their sulfone and disulfide analogs(10-13) were synthesized to evaluate their anti-inflammatory activity. Notably, the synthesized sulfone 10 demonstrated significant alleviation of symptoms in multiple in vivo inflammatory models.

摘要This study investigates the frequency-temperature behaviors in AT-cut quartz crystal resonators(QCRs).First, the dispersion relations of an infinite quartz plate are obtained through a semi-analytical finite element(SAFE)analysis, which explicitly reveals the intrinsic frequency-temperature dependence of different vibration modes.Subsequently,we address practical resonator configurations by examining finite quartz plates, where numerical simulations uncover critical interactions between the operational thickness-shear(TS)mode and coupling modes,i.e.,the flexure(F),face-shear(FS),and extension(E)modes.Through the frequency spectra analysis,we demonstrate that both the plate aspect ratio and thermal variations affect mode-coupling behaviors.Unstable frequency-temperature variations(activity dips)are observed at critical resonator dimensions.Validation through the free-vibration eigen-frequency analysis and forced-vibration admittance characterization confirms the stable or unstable states predicted by the frequency spectra. The established framework not only reveals the origin of temperatureinduced activity dips but also provides the crucial design criteria for suppressing the mode-coupling interference in high-stability resonators.

摘要The intrinsic pressure framework, which treats self-propelling force as an external force, provides a convenient and consistent description of mechanical equilibrium in active matter. However, direct experimental evidence is still lacking. To validate this framework, here we employ a programmable robotic platform, where a single light-controlled wheeled robot travels in an activity landscape. Our experiments quantitatively demonstrate that the intrinsic pressure difference across the activity interface is balanced by the emerged polarization force. This result unambiguously confirms the theoretical predictions, thus validating the intrinsic pressure framework and laying the experimental foundation for the intrinsic pressure-based mechanical description of dry active matter.

摘要Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved. However, intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment. This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework. Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels, respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity, with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale. At the county level, the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale, while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions. This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions.

摘要Andrias davidianus bone peptides(ADBP),known for their potent xanthine oxidase(XOD)inhibitory activity, show promise as adjunctive agents for the treatment of hyperuricemia(HUA).However, their quality control and antihyperuricemic efficacy across different farming regions have not been thoroughly investigated. This study undertook a comparative analysis of ADBP from nine representative farming locations, developed a high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)fingerprint, and evaluated the antihyperuricemic activity of the most promising sample both in vitro and in vivo. The nine ADBP samples predominantly consisted of low-molecular-weight peptides with high protein content. However, their mineral and amino acid profiles exhibited significant variability, which served as key distinguishing markers.A reliable HPLC fingerprint was established to characterize ADBP from the different farming regions.Based on compositional analysis and XOD inhibitory activity, the ADBP obtained from the Hunan Zhangjiajie(HNZJJ)region was selected for further investigation. In vitro experiments utilizing an optimized adenosine-induced HUA model in LO2 cells confirmed the uric acid-lowering effect of the selected ADBP.In vivo experiments using a mouse model demonstrated that ADBP significantly suppressed hepatic uric acid synthesis by inhibiting adenylate deaminase(ADA),XOD activity, and reducing serum uric acid levels.Additionally,ADBP alleviated HUAinduced liver damage by enhancing hepatic antioxidant defenses.Metabolomic analysis revealed that ADBPinduced alterations in liver metabolites may contribute to the alleviation of HUA.These metabolites were notably enriched in pathways related to linoleic acid metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, caffeine metabolism, cysteine and methionine metabolism, and purine metabolism. These findings underscore the potential of ADBP as a functional ingredient for food and biomedical applications aimed at the prevention and adjunctive treatment of HUA.

摘要The MS6.8 earthquake that struck Dingri County on January 7,2025,has prompted extensive investigations into its post-seismic hazards, focal mechanism, and seismogenic structure. However, the absence of a systematic understanding the sedimentary framework, structural architecture, and other key geological characteristics of the Dingmu Co fault-bounded basin has hindered such efforts.Drawing on a 1:50,000-scale regional geological survey,we examined the sedimentary and structural features of the basin. We further integrated pre-earthquake audio-frequency magnetotelluric(AMT)and soil-radon survey data with optically stimulated luminescence dating of the fault fracture zones. Our results reveal that lacustrine deposits in the basin host abundant seismically induced soft-sediment deformation structures. The northern sector contains an east-west-trending halfgraben, and the eastern sector is dominated by several north-south-trending strike-slip normal faults.AMT data have identified multiple concealed faults, and soil-radon measurements indicate heightened fault activity east of the central basin area.Shaped by the combined influence of the north-south-trending Dingmu Co strike-slip-normal fault system and east-west-trending Lhagoi Kangri Detachment System, the basin has undergone at least three episodes of intense tectonic activity since the Late Pleistocene,at~53.4,~37.1–32.2,and~9.2 ka BP,and is presently experiencing renewed deformation.Coseismic deformation associated with the January 7 event was concentrated at the intersections of north-south-,east-west-,northeast-,and northwesttrending faults. These results indicate the need to prioritize such intersection zones in future geological monitoring and disaster risk assessments.Overall, this study offers new insights for advancing seismotectonic research and understanding earthquake hazards in the Himalayan orogenic belt.
