The formation and evolution of binary stars are key steps in star formation and evolution,and thus their research has become the core content of modern astronomical research.Although as early as 1976,Bodan Pachenski proposed the theory of the evolution of shared envelopes in binary stars,but it was never confirmed until 2022 when the Yunnan Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an Australian team first observed the phenomenon of shared envelope ejection in binary stars,which provided support for Bodan Pachenski’s theory,but the true formation mechanism and evolution process of binary stars remain undetermined.For this reason,the author of this paper has proposed a theory of the formation and evolution of binary stars based on the theory of the evolution of common envelopes in binary stars and the theory of tidal disruption events,laying a foundation for establishing a complete theory of star formation and evolution. 展开更多

Transition metal phosphides exhibit diverse crystal structures and intriguing physical properties,including superconductivity and magnetism.Despite extensive studies,obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the synthesis methods,structural variations,and emergent phenomena in binary and ternary phosphides remains an essential task.Here,we review recent progress in the synthesis,crystal structures,and physical properties of binary(e.g.,Mo-P,Rh-P,Re-P,and Ir-P)and ternary(transition metal-transition metal-phosphorus,alkaline earth metal-transition metal-phosphorus,and rare earth element-transition metal-phosphorus)phosphides.Emphasis is placed on superconductivity,magnetism,and electronic structures,highlighting correlations between composition,structure,and properties.This synthesis of current knowledge provides insights into the design of novel phosphide materials and can guide future exploration of functional materials with tailored electronic and magnetic behaviors. 展开更多

The modified molecular interaction volume model(M-MIVM)was used to calculate the activity values and their deviations from experimental data for Ag-Cu and Ag-Sb binary alloys.Subsequently,theoretical vapor-liquid equilibrium phase diagrams(T-x-y and p-x-y)were plotted via combining M-MIVM and vacuum theory.The vapor-liquid phase equilibrium(VLE)experiments were conducted on the Ag-Cu alloy at 1500-1560 K and 10-15 Pa and Ag-Sb alloys at 950-1350 K and 10 Pa.The results showed that the average relative deviation and average standard deviation of activity were lower than 5%and 0.02,respectively.A comparison of theoretical and experiment results for VLE revealed that the simulated data on the T-x-y diagram were well consistent with experimental values.Therefore,the VLE phase diagrams can serve as a guide in vacuum separation experiments and industrial production for Ag-Cu and Ag-Sb binary alloys. 展开更多

As the predominant method for bastnaesite separation,froth flotation relies critically on the selection of flotation reagents to achieve optimal mineral recovery.In order to overcome the shortcomings of single collectors in adapting to complex and varied minerals,blending two or more reagents to develop composite collectors has emerged as a promising strategy for enhanced mineral selectivity.In this paper,a novel binary collector comprising lauric acid and lauryl alcohol was developed for bastnaesite flotation.Bench-scale flotation tests process with one roughing,three cleaning,two scavenging(1R-3C-2S)were performed.The results indicate that under the condition of 125 mg/L binary collector and 120 mg/L sodium silicate,88.14%bastnaesite recovery with 51.70%REO grade can be achieved.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analyses confirm that the concentrate is predominantly bastnaesite,whereas tailings primarily comprise fluorite,quartz and wollastonite.Simultaneous thermal analysis attests that binary collector can adsorb on bastnaesite surfaces,Zeta potential analysis demonstrates electrostatic adsorption of binary collector L-06 on bastnaesite surfaces.Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analyses confirm that collector L-06 adsorbs on bastnaesite surfaces via hydrogen bonding and chemical adsorption.Consequently,the binary collector demonstrates superior collecting on bastnaesite surfaces through synergistic effects of electrostatic interaction,hydrogen bonding and chemical bonding at pH 4.50,providing valuable insights for developing high-efficiency composite collectors in bastnaesite flotation. 展开更多

The core-shell structure in bulk TiNb binary alloy was designed and studied by phase-field simulations,where various core-shell structures were obtained by precise control of the initial and boundary conditions of the TiNb binary alloy system during spinodal decomposition,and then the formation mechanism of core-shell structure was revealed.In addition,the influences of initial temperature gradient,average temperature,and initial concentration distribution of the system on the core-shell structure were investigated.Results show that the initial concentration gradient is the key factor for forming the core-shell structure.Besides,larger initial temperature gradient and higher average temperature can promote the formation of core-shell structure,which can be stabilized by adjusting the initial concentration distribution of the Nb-rich region in TiNb binary alloy.As a theoretical basis,this research provides a novel and simple strategy for the preparation of TiNb-based alloys and other materials with peculiar core-shell structures and desirable mechanical and physical properties. 展开更多

Single Image Super-Resolution(SISR)seeks to reconstruct high-resolution(HR)images from lowresolution(LR)inputs,thereby enhancing visual fidelity and the perception of fine details.While Transformer-based models—such as SwinIR,Restormer,and HAT—have recently achieved impressive results in super-resolution tasks by capturing global contextual information,these methods often suffer from substantial computational and memory overhead,which limits their deployment on resource-constrained edge devices.To address these challenges,we propose a novel lightweight super-resolution network,termed Binary Attention-Guided Information Distillation(BAID),which integrates frequency-aware modeling with a binary attention mechanism to significantly reduce computational complexity and parameter count whilemaintaining strong reconstruction performance.The network combines a high–low frequency decoupling strategy with a local–global attention sharing mechanism,enabling efficient compression of redundant computations through binary attention guidance.At the core of the architecture lies the Attention-Guided Distillation Block(AGDB),which retains the strengths of the information distillation framework while introducing a sparse binary attention module to enhance both inference efficiency and feature representation.Extensive×4 superresolution experiments on four standard benchmarks—Set5,Set14,BSD100,and Urban100—demonstrate that BAID achieves Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR)values of 32.13,28.51,27.47,and 26.15,respectively,with only 1.22 million parameters and 26.1 G Floating-Point Operations(FLOPs),outperforming other state-of-the-art lightweight methods such as Information Multi-Distillation Network(IMDN)and Residual Feature Distillation Network(RFDN).These results highlight the proposed model’s ability to deliver high-quality image reconstruction while offering strong deployment efficiency,making it well-suited for image restoration tasks in resource-limited environments. 展开更多

Although extensive research has been conducted on CO2-enhanced coalbed methane(CO2-ECBM)recovery,most prior studies have focused on the impact of gas adsorption-induced swelling on coal permeability under equilibrium conditions.This paper presents a comprehensive thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical(THMC)model that integrates thermal expansion and heat conduction(T),gas diffusion in the matrix and gas-water two-phase flow in the fractures(H),matrix and fracture deformation due to poroelasticity(M),and non-equilibrium binary gas adsorption-induced matrix swelling(C)during CO2-ECBM recovery.The accuracy of the proposed model was verified through experimental data,and the model was simulated using finite element method(FEM)software.Simulation results indicate that the permeability evolution can be categorized into three stages.Ignoring the impact of water on gas adsorption properties would lead to an overestimation of the influence of adsorption-induced swelling,while disregarding non-equilibrium adsorption underestimates it.An examination of five designed cases identified critical factors influencing permeability.Parametric analysis shows that increases in the injection pressure,the injection temperature,and the initial permeability promote the competitive adsorption-induced swelling between CH4and CO2,leading to increased CH4production and CO2storage.Conversely,an increase in initial water saturation reduces available gas flow space,decreasing both CH4production and CO2storage.Higher irreducible water saturation favors early gas recovery,while lower irreducible water saturation is more advantageous for long-term recovery. 展开更多

In this paper,a zonotopic distributed fusion estimation problem is investigated for a class of 2-D nonlinear systems subject to unknown-but-bounded noises over a binary sensor network.An auxiliary innovation is constructed to reduce the influence of the less measured information,and Flex Ray protocol is employed to schedule the innovation transmission between nodes.By resorting to the set-membership filtering,a variable-independent zonotope is achieved to constrain local estimation error,and gain parameters are obtained by minimizing the upper bound of zonotope in the F-radius sense.Subsequently,a zonotopic distributed fusion scheme is implemented through the matrixweighted fusion criteria,and an optimized weighted matrix is obtained using the Lagrange Multiple method.Furthermore,the monotonicity of the local zonotope is analyzed with the gain-constraint parameter.Finally,a numerical example is considered to verify the effectiveness of the developed fusion algorithm. 展开更多

Integrating renewable energy sources presents technical challenges due to their variable nature,particularly in predicting and managing microgrid operational modes.Accurate identification of grid statesinterconnected or islanded—is essential for maintaining stability and optimizing performance under fluctuating environmental conditions to meet energy demand.This work proposes a bio-inspired,optimized binary classification model based on Multi-Layer Perceptron Artificial Neural Networks(MLP-ANN),with the architecture and hyperparameters tuned using the novel Mosquito Mating Swarm Optimization(MMSO)algorithm,inspired by mosquito mating behavior and swarm dynamics.The model employs an MLP-ANN with a variable number of hidden layers and neurons per layer,configured to maximize classification accuracy by dynamically adjusting parameters,including the learning rate and regularization coefficients.Training utilizes k-fold cross-validation on experimental microgrid data.The MMSO approach is benchmarked against Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO),Genetic Algorithm(GA),and Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO)to validate its effectiveness.Results show that the MMSO-optimized MLP-ANN achieved an 86.34%recall,98.96%precision,and 92.29%accuracy,while minimizing the Mean Squared Error to 0.0206.The MMSO-optimized MLP-ANN model achieved competitive classification performance compared to the other algorithms evaluated;although no statistically significant differences in recall were observed among the optimizers(p=0.22),the MMSO achieved the lowest MSE(0.0206).The MMSO was the only algorithm capable of discovering a four-layer architecture hidden within the same search space,evidencing superior exploration of deeper architectural regions of the solution space.These findings demonstrate the model's capacity to predict microgrid operational modes under variable conditions,highlighting the potential of integrating bio-inspired algorithms with neural networks for energy management systems.This approach could enhance the efficiency and reliability of integrating renewable energy sources into dynamic energy systems. 展开更多

High energy-density lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries with rapid intermediate conversion and forbidden shuttle effect require superior electrocatalysts with tunable catalytic activity.In this protocol,binary FeNi3 alloy nanoparticles homogeneously embedded within carbon nanosheets(FeNi3/CNS)are synthesized to regulate the conversions of sulfur species.Time of flight-secondary mass ion spectroscopy reveals a significantly improved catalytic effect of binary FeNi3 alloy compared to bare Ni,which is confirmed by a larger Li2S amount generated during in situ X-ray diffraction measurement.Further anode characterization validates efficient shuttling suppression and good lithium metal protection.In Li–S batteries,electrochemical tests demonstrate a remarkable rate capability of 852 mAh g-1 at 3.0 C,and outstanding long-term cycle at 1.0 C(639 mAh g-1 after 500 cycles).Even under a wide operation temperature range(-15–60℃),Li–S batteries exhibit stable cycling with high specific capacities under high current rates.Moreover,Li–S batteries using FeNi3/CNS attain a maximum areal capacity of 5.60 mAh cm-2 under~4.0 mg cm-2 sulfur.This study highlights the advantages of adopting binary or multi-component metal alloys as electrocatalysts and points out the research directions to advanceLi–S batteries into practical applications. 展开更多

Unveiling the vacancy oscillation mode in amorphous binary oxides films at nanoscale and its impact on ionic conductivity and conductivity spectra is vital to explore the tightly intertwined connection between reversible oxygen migration and stabilizing and controlling the ferroelectric behavior,to complement traditional ferroelectric doped-HfO2materials.Using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS),infrared reflection spectra,and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,we investigate the optical absorption and reflection spectra of crystalline and amorphous ZrO2thin film by varying oxygen vacancy concentrations.Experimental results show that oxygen vacancy migration rather than intrinsic paraelectric nature in films significantly affect the conductivity and polarization behavior of ZrO2thin film.Notably,except for the phonon modes induce distinct absorption peaks around 11 THz,additional absorption peaks are observed in the 1-2 THz range,which are caused by localized states originated from the oxygen vacancies,supported by DFT calculations.Temperature-dependent ion migration behavior further confirms the role of vacancy oscillation modes in ionic conductivity.DFT calculations additionally reveal how oxygen vacancies alter infrared absorption and optical modes,leading to a redshift in existing absorption peaks or the introduction of new peaks.Our findings unambiguously clarify the oxygen voltammetry characteristics in amorphous ferroelectric binary oxides films.Furthermore,the strategic deployment of amorphous binary oxides films enables the use of lowtemperature atomic layer deposition(ALD)growing process,effectively alleviating routing congestion of ferroelectric oxides and offering additional design flexibility for future memory devices with ultra-low effective oxide thickness(EOT)and low thermal budget,and providing alternative technological routes that are poised to propel the development of next-generation more compact ferroelectric devices for advanced process nodes. 展开更多

We perform Bayesian targeted searches for continuous gravitational waves from eccentric supermassive binary black holes(SMBBHs)using the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array third data release(PPTA DR3).Six electromagnetically motivated sky directions are analyzed,including the blazar OJ 287 and five nearby galaxy clusters(Virgo,Fornax,Norma,Hercules,and Coma).No significant signals are found.For OJ 287,by explicitly incorporating orbital eccentricity(up to e0=0.8)to robustly capture signal power spread across multiple harmonics,we constrain the total binary mass to Mtot<5.25×1010M⊙(95%credible level).We also place upper limits on the chirp mass of potential SMBBHs residing in galaxy clusters.By combining these limits with independent black hole mass estimates,we place novel constraints on the allowed binary mass ratios for potential hosts such as M87 and NGC 4889.Specifically,our results exclude binaries with mass ratios q■10-2at around 10 n Hz for these massive systems,effectively ruling out equal-mass black hole mergers in the sampled parameter space.These findings demonstrate the growing power of pulsar timing arrays to probe SMBBH populations. 展开更多

Binary segmentation tasks in computer vision exhibit diverse appearance distributions and complex boundary characteristics.To address the limited generalization and adaptability of existing models across heterogeneous tasks,we propose Abel-Net,an Aggregated Bilateral Edge Localization Network designed as a universal framework formulti-task binary segmentation.Abel-Net integrates global and local contextual cues to enhance feature learning and edge precision.Specifically,amulti-scale feature pyramid fusion strategy is implemented via anAggregated Skip Connection(ASC)module to strengthen feature adaptability,while the Edge Dual Localization(EDL)mechanism performs coarse-to-fine refinement through edge-aware supervision.Additionally,Edge Attention(EA)and Edge Fusion Attention(EFA)modules prioritize edge-critical regions and facilitate accurate boundary alignment.Extensive experiments on nine diverse binary segmentation tasks demonstrate thatAbel-Net performs comparably to or surpasses state-of-the-art task-specific networks,exhibiting strong adaptability to a wide range of visual perception challenges. 展开更多

Gradient-Guided Assembly Instruction Relocation for Adversarial Attacks Against Binary Code Similarity Detection 认领 引用

Transformer-based models have significantly advanced binary code similarity detection(BCSD)by leveraging their semantic encoding capabilities for efficient function matching across diverse compilation settings.Although adversarial examples can strategically undermine the accuracy of BCSD models and protect critical code,existing techniques predominantly depend on inserting artificial instructions,which incur high computational costs and offer limited diversity of perturbations.To address these limitations,we propose AIMA,a novel gradient-guided assembly instruction relocation method.Our method decouples the detection model into tokenization,embedding,and encoding layers to enable efficient gradient computation.Since token IDs of instructions are discrete and nondifferentiable,we compute gradients in the continuous embedding space to evaluate the influence of each token.The most critical tokens are identified by calculating the L2 norm of their embedding gradients.We then establish a mapping between instructions and their corresponding tokens to aggregate token-level importance into instructionlevel significance.To maximize adversarial impact,a sliding window algorithm selects the most influential contiguous segments for relocation,ensuring optimal perturbation with minimal length.This approach efficiently locates critical code regions without expensive search operations.The selected segments are relocated outside their original function boundaries via a jump mechanism,which preserves runtime control flow and functionality while introducing“deletion”effects in the static instruction sequence.Extensive experiments show that AIMA reduces similarity scores by up to 35.8%in state-of-the-art BCSD models.When incorporated into training data,it also enhances model robustness,achieving a 5.9%improvement in AUROC. 展开更多

We present the first observational analysis of the totally eclipsing binary WISE J095035.2+354215(hereafter J095035),a system whose mass ratio lies near the theoretical stability limit for binary stars.Fundamental stellar parameters of the system were determined through spectral energy distribution fitting,yielding a surface gravity of log g=4.16-0.29+0.34cm s-2,a metallicity of[Fe/H]=0.05-0.06+0.08dex,and an effective temperature of Teff=6262-34+43K.Employing the PHOEBE 2.4 software package with a Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling technique,we derived photometric parameters from multiband observations,confirming that J095035 is an overcontact binary with an ultra-low mass ratio(q≈0.064)and a contact degree of 47%.Synthesizing eclipse timing data from our observations and multiple astronomical surveys,we determined that J095035’s orbital period is experiencing a secular decline at dP/dt-3.70×10-7day yr-1.This secular orbital period variation is most likely driven by the joint influence of two key physical processes:mass exchange between the binary’s constituent stars and angular momentum leakage from the entire system.The sustained orbital period reduction triggers shrinkage of the critical Roche lobes,thereby enhancing the contact depth and ultimately directing the system toward coalescence into a fast-rotating merger product. 展开更多

We conduct a multiband photometric investigation of LINEAR 16694484,a low-mass-ratio contact binary system featuring an orbital period of 0.2492762 days,close to the theoretical lower limit for contact systems.Utilizing the PHOEBE modeling suite combined with Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling,we analyze multiband light curves and infer a fill-out factor of~33%.Complementarily,analysis of Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite photometric data yields consistent results,confirming the system's overcontact configuration.The rare combination of such a short orbital period and an extremely low mass ratio(q≈0.11)renders this system a valuable testbed for probing binary evolution theories.By combining new eclipse timings with archival data from multiple sky surveys,we detect a secular decrease in the orbital period at a rate of P=dP/dt=-5.11×10−7day·yr−1,most plausibly attributed to mass transfer from the more massive primary component to the less massive secondary.As the system undergoes progressive orbital contraction,the Roche lobe radii are reduced,which intensifies the contact degree and establishes LINEAR 16694484 as a plausible progenitor of a contact binary merger event. 展开更多

ATLAS J1138-5139 is a newly detected ultra-compact double white dwarf(DWD) system which is composed of a 1.02 M⊙ carbon-oxygen white dwarf(CO WD) and a 0.24M⊙ helium(He) WD with an orbital period of about 27.68 minutes,making it one of the shortest-period DWD systems known.The future evolution and final fate of this system remain unexplored.In this work,we investigate the evolution of ATLAS J1138-5139 with the onedimensional stellar evolution code Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics.We find that ATLAS J1138-5139 will evolve into an AM Canum Venaticorum system in about~6.3 Myr.Afterwards,the transferred material from the He WD companion start to build up to form a He shell near the surface of the CO WD.This accumulated He-shell masses can be up to approximately 0.12M⊙,which is likely to trigger a double-detonation(DDet) explosion of the CO WD.We therefore expect that ATLAS J1138-5139 will likely explode as a type Ⅰa supernova eventually through the DDet explosion mechanism.Moreover,our calculations show that ATLAS J1138-5139 will be a promising target for gravitational-wave detection by future detectors like LISA,TianQin and Taiji. 展开更多

We report the discovery and characterization of a close subdwarf B(sdB)+white dwarf binary system—TYC 3135-86-1.By combining spectroscopy,spectral energy distribution fitting,and light curve modeling,we determine that the sdB component has an effective temperature of Teff=22597.10±413.06 K,a surface gravity of logg=4.97−0.01+0.02,and a mass of M1=0.442−0.019+0.026M⊙.The system has a short orbital period of P=0.248895435(65)days,and the white dwarf companion has a mass of M2=0.658−0.036+0.026M⊙.The compact configuration of the system is consistent with formation through common-envelope(CE)ejection.Within this framework,our MESA models suggest a possible scenario in which the sdB component retains a relatively thick hydrogen envelope at the onset of the post-CE phase,in contrast to the typically thinner envelopes of CE-formed sdB stars. 展开更多
