AIM: To estimate the adult reference values for measured deviations by a computerized diplopia test and testify the validity.METHODS: Totally 391 participants were recruited and taken the computerized diplopia test....AIM: To estimate the adult reference values for measured deviations by a computerized diplopia test and testify the validity.METHODS: Totally 391 participants were recruited and taken the computerized diplopia test. The plots and amplitude of deviations were recorded. The differences in different gender, age and visual acuity groups were analyzed respectively. Of 30 subjects were enrolled to testify the interobserver reliability. Another 46 subjects(including 26 normal subjects and 20 patients) were taken the test and theirs deviations were recorded to testify the validity of the reference value.RESULTS: The max horizontal and vertical deviations were 2.55° and 0.76° with normal corrected visual acuity while 3.88° and 1.46° for subjects with poor corrected vision. The differences between age groups was insignificant(Z =3.615, 4.758; P =0.461, 0.313 for horizontal and vertical respectively). The max horizontal deviation of female was smaller than male(Z =-2.177; P =0.029),but the difference in max vertical deviation was insignificant(Z =-1.296; P =0.195). The mean difference between observers were both-0.1°, with 95% confidence limits(CI) of-1.4° and 1.6° in max horizontal deviations while-2.1° and 1.8° in max vertical deviation. The mean deviation of 26 normal subjects was 1.02° ±0.84° for horizontal and 0.47° ±0.30° for vertical which both within the range of reference values. The mean deviation of 20 patients was 13.51°±11.69° for horizontal and 8.34°±8.58°for vertical which both beyond the reference range.CONCLUSION: The max amplitude of horizontal and vertical deviation is pointed as the numerical parameters of computerized diplopia test. The reference values are different between normal corrected visual acuity and poor corrected vision. These values may useful for evaluating patients with diplopia in veriety conditions during clinical practice.展开更多
AIM: To evaluate the ability of contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CECT) to characterize the nature of peripancreatic collections.METHODS: Twenty five patients with peripancreatic collections on CECT and who u...AIM: To evaluate the ability of contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CECT) to characterize the nature of peripancreatic collections.METHODS: Twenty five patients with peripancreatic collections on CECT and who underwent operative intervention for severe acute pancreatitis were retrospectively studied. The collections were classified into (1) necrosis without frank pus; (2) necrosis with pus; and (3) fluid without necrosis. A blinded radiologist assessed the preoperative CTs of each patient for necrosis and peripancreatic fluid collections. Peripancreatic collections were described in terms of volume, location, number, heterogeneity, fluid attenuation, wall perceptibility, wall enhancement, presence of extraluminal gas, and vascular compromise.RESULTS: Fifty-four collections were identif ied at operation, of which 45 (83%) were identif ied on CECT. Of these, 25/26 (96%) had necrosis without pus, 16/19 (84%) had necrosis with pus, and 4/9 (44%) had fluid without necrosis. Among the study characteristics, fluid heterogeneity was seen in a greater proportion of collections in the group with necrosis and pus, compared to the other two groups (94% vs 48% and 25%, P = 0.002 and 0.003, respectively). Among the wall characteristics, irregularity was seen in a greater proportion of collections in the groups with necrosis with and without pus, when compared to the group with fluid without necrosis (88% and 71% vs 25%, P = 0.06 and P < 0.01, respectively). The combination of heterogeneity and presence of extraluminal gas had a specif icity and positive likelihood ratio of 92% and 5.9, respectively, in detecting pus. CONCLUSION: Most of the peripancreatic collections seen on CECT in patients with severe acute pancreatitis who require operative intervention contain necrotic tissue. CECT has a somewhat limited role in differentiating the different types of collections.展开更多
In order to investigate the application of proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (ill-MRS) and computerized tomography (CT) in the quantitative diagnosis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and evaluati...In order to investigate the application of proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (ill-MRS) and computerized tomography (CT) in the quantitative diagnosis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and evaluation of therapeutic effects, 22 patients with NAFLD were selected according to the Chinese Medical Association's (CMA) standard of the NAFLD in comparison with 20 healthy volunteers (as control group). Blood samples for biochemistry were collected. The severity of hepatosteatosis was evaluated by ^1H-MRS scan and CT scan of liver. The intrahepatic content of lipid (IHCL) and CT value ratio of liver to spleen were calculated. The patients in NAFLD group were treated with Ganzhixiao Capsule for 8 weeks. The changes in IHCL and CT value ratio of liver to spleen were observed before and after treatment. In NAFLD group serum ALT, TG, IHCL calculated by ^1HMRS were increased and CT value ratio of liver to spleen decreased significantly as compared with control group. After treatment for 8 weeks serum ALT, TG, IHCL were decreased significantly, while CT value ratio of liver to spleen increased significantly in NAFLD group. It was suggested that IHCL could be measured precisely by ^1HMRS. NAFLD was treated effectively by Ganzhixiao capsule.展开更多

A novel geometric computing method is proposed with the integration of descriptive geometry, math and computer algorithm. Firstly, geometric elements in general position are transformed to a special position in new coordinate system. Then a 3D problem is projected to new coordinate planes. Finally, according to 2D/3D correspondence principle in descriptive geometry, the solution is constructed computerized drawing process with ruler and compasses. In order to make this method a regular operation, a two-level pattern is established. Basic Layer is a set algebraic packaged function including about ten Primary Geometric Functions (PGF) and one projection transformation. In Application Layer, a proper coordinate is established and a sequence of PGFs is sought for to get the final results. Despite lung cancer(LC) screening by low-dose computerized tomography(LDCT) gaining many proponents worldwide, for many years it was not recognized as a life-prolonging and cost-effective procedure, until recently. Pr...Despite lung cancer(LC) screening by low-dose computerized tomography(LDCT) gaining many proponents worldwide, for many years it was not recognized as a life-prolonging and cost-effective procedure, until recently. Prospective observational studies had not been able to prove that this screening prolongs survival, but they helped to specify the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Long-awaited results of a prospective, randomized trial finally provided the evidence that LC screening with LDCT can prolong survival of the screened population. Several costeffectiveness analyses were performed to justify mass introduction of this screening. Results of these analyses are equivocal, although conclusions highly depend upon inclusion and exclusion criteria, methods of analysis and prices of medical procedures which differ between countries as well as the incidence of other pulmonary nodules, especially tuberculosis. Therefore, costeffectiveness analysis should be performed separately for every country. Cost-effectiveness depends especially upon the rate of false-positive results and the rate of unnecessary diagnostic, screening and treatment procedures. To ensure high cost-effectiveness, LC screening should be performed in accordance with screening protocol, in dedicated screening centers equipped with nodule volume change analysis, or as a prospective non-randomized trial, to ensure compliance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. To ensure high cost-effectiveness of LC screening, future research should concentrate on determination of highrisk groups and further specifying the inclusion and exclusion criteria.展开更多

A method of the pattern CAD system including the analyzing and the compiling of the pattern data was developed in this paper. By rasterizing the pattern map, the drafted pattern could be compiled into knitting row data and stitches. The storage format of knitting rows data and stitches data could be defined by analyzing the motion of computerized fiat knitting machine. By reassembling the control data, it could be analyzed into the execute data of the controller in computerized fiat knitting machine. This method mainly focused on the weak areas of multi-needle-bed technology and fully-fashioned knitting technology in inland and could be applied to most of control systems in the master-slave mode. The knitting row data and pattern row data in a " *. ptn" format file were integrated. Giving a corresponding analytic calculation process of control data and realizing independent development of the upper machine and the lower machine, the final knitting control data not only have low computation and transmission cost but also have fast transfer speeds.展开更多

These measures are sensitive to cognitive changes in early Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) a...Proactive Semantic Interference (PSI) and failure to recover from PSI (frPSI), are novel constructs assessed by the LASSI-L. These measures are sensitive to cognitive changes in early Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and preclinical AD determined by Aβ load using PET. The goal of this study was to compare a new computerized version of the LASSI-L (LASSI-Brief Computerized) to the standard paper-and-pencil version of the test. In this study, we examined 110 cognitively unimpaired (CU) older adults and 79 with amnestic MCI (aMCI) who were administered the paper-and-pencil form of the LASSI-L. Their performance was compared with 62 CU older adults and 52 aMCI participants examined using the LASSI-BC. After adjustment for covariates (degree of initial learning, sex, education, and language of evaluation) both the standard and computerized versions distinguished between aMCI and CU participants. The performance of CU and aMCI groups using either form was relatively commensurate. Importantly, an optimal combination of Cued B2 recall and Cued B1 intrusions on the LASSI-BC yielded an area under the ROC curve of .927, a sensitivity of 92.3% and specificity of 88.1%, relative to an area under the ROC curve of .815, a sensitivity of 72.5%, and a specificity of 79.1% obtained for the paper-and-pencil LASSI-L. Overall, the LASSI-BC was comparable, and in some ways, superior to the paper-and-pencil LASSI-L. Advantages of the LASSI-BC include a more standardized administration, suitability for remote assessment, and an automated scoring mechanism that can be verified by a built-in audio recording of responses.展开更多

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects o...Introduction: A great number of software are currently used to digitalize the patient records in order to optimize the quality of services offered to patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of Electronic Health Records use in Burundi’s hospitals, taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic context. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study based on difference in difference method. Ten district hospitals were included in the study, five of them had the Electronic Health Records and five of which did not yet have the Electronic Health Records. The hospital’s control group were chosen using the propensity score matching method. The period before the project’s implementation was 2014 and the period after were 2019 and 2020. Results: After 5 years of the Electronic Health Record’s implementation, the results showed an increase in outpatient consultation (70%), deliveries (more than 100%), caesarean sections (56%) and major surgeries (43%) indicators. The overall quality score of hospitals’ care had a regressive effect of 37% and the income from performance-based funding had an increase by 31%. The indicators which were affected by the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were especially outpatient consultation, caesarian section, income from performance-based funding decreased by 3%, 5% and 20% respectively. Conclusion: The effects of Electronic Health Records use are effective. As the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the hospital’s indicators negatively, the resilient strategies alongside the potential shocks are recommended.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the clinical value with positron emission tomography/computerized tomography(PET/CT) imaging for the detection of vulnerable plaque in atherosclerotic lesions. Methods:Sixty people with a age...Objective:To evaluate the clinical value with positron emission tomography/computerized tomography(PET/CT) imaging for the detection of vulnerable plaque in atherosclerotic lesions. Methods:Sixty people with a age of over 60[mean age (69.2 ± 7.1)years] underwent three dimension(3D) whole-body fluorine-18-2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose(^18F-FDG) PET/CT imaging and were evaluated retrospectively, including 6 cases assessed as normal and 54 cases with active atherosclerotic plaque. Fifty-four cases with SUVs and CT values in the aortic wall of high-FDG-uptake were measured retrospectively. These high-FDG-uptake cases in the aortic wall were divided into three groups according their CT value. Cases in group 1 had high uptake in atherosclerotic lesions of the aortic wall with CT value of less than 60 Hu(soft plaque). Cases in group 2 had high uptake with CT value between 60-100 Hu (intermediate plaque), Cases in group 3 had high uptake with CT value more than 100 Hu(calcified plaque), Group 4 was normal. Results: In group 1, there were 42 high-FDG-uptake sites (average SUV 1.553 ± 0.486). In group 2, there were 30 high-FDG-uptake sites(average SUV 1.393 ± 0.296). In group 3, there were 36 high-FDG-uptake sites(average SUV 1.354 ± 0.189). In group 4, there were 33 normal-FDG-uptake sites (average SUV was 1.102 ± 0.141), The SUVs showed significant difference among the four groups(F = 678.909, P = 0.000). There were also significant difference found between the normal-FDG-uptake group and the high-FDG-uptake groups(P = 0.000, 0.000, 0.001, respectively). Conclusion:Different degrees of ^18F-FDG uptake in active large atherosclerotic plaque were shown in different stages of atherosclerotic plaque formation. The soft plaque had the highest FDG uptake in this study. This suggested that ^18F- FDG PET/CT imaging may be of great potential value in early diagnosis and monitoring of vulnerable soft plaque in atherosclerotic lesions.展开更多
The spleen is one of the most frequently affected organs in sickle cell anemia (SCA). This study aims to characterize the spleen in sickle cell anemia patients using contrast enhanced computerized tomography scanning ...The spleen is one of the most frequently affected organs in sickle cell anemia (SCA). This study aims to characterize the spleen in sickle cell anemia patients using contrast enhanced computerized tomography scanning (CECT). 67 patients with SCA from different Saudi Arabian areas were enrolled;ages are ranged from 10 months to 28 years old. The spleen was assessed with CT for abdominal pain and/or unexplained fever. The evaluation was done at different contrast enhancement scanning phases. The study showed that the least number of affected patients was from Eastern Saudi Arabia (1.5%) followed by Asseer (16.4%) then Gazan representing 82.1%. The most common type of SCA affected the Saudi children is Hemoglobin SS Disease (Hb SS) constituting 41 (61.2%). The spleen size, lymph nodes size, spleen Hounsfield (HU), splenic vein diameter and the correlation with the associated findings were evaluated for all of the patients. In children affected with SCA: 26 (38.8%) have splenomegaly, 18 (26.9%) have atrophied spleen and 2 (3.0%) are with very small tissue like structure. Lesions found in the spleen were abscess, infarction, cyst, and calcifications. At the spleen hilum region;dilated splenic vein, presence of multiple collaterals, and thrombus were also been detected. Significantly correlations were noticed between lesions type, child age, enlargement of spleen and splenic lymph nodes at P ≤ 0.033, P ≤ 0.010 and P ≤ 0.012 respectively and showed an evidence that the reduction of the HU and advanced age have significant relation with changing of the spleen size at P ≤ 0.004 and P ≤ 0.000 respectively. Spleen lesions’ enhancement pattern is well emerged in both venous and delay phase and it was significantly related with the scanning phase at P ≤ 0.000 and with different types of SCA at P ≤ 0.037, and P ≤ 0.055 in venous and delay phase in respectively. CECT offers a number of morphological criteria that can be applied to differentiate hypodense lesions of the spleen in SCA. CT characterization criteria of hypodense splenic lesions are acknowledged to aid interpretation during evaluation of abdominal CT images of the spleen in symptomatic patients with sickle cell anemia.展开更多

The types of Accessory renal arteries were 1.8% (7/24) upper pole, 1.8% (7/24) lower pole and 2.5% (10/24) hilus. In males, 4 upper pole, 4 lower pole and 7 hilus. In females, 3 upper pole, 3 lower pole and 3 hilus. The percentage of right accessory renal arteries is almost twice that of the left and more than twice the bilateral accessory arteries. Accessory renal artery is a common but a significant anatomical variant of the renal vascular system, due to their clinical importance. In our sample, the accessory renal artery presence was detected in 6% and displayed a greater variation on the right than the left side. Because this abnormality plays an important role in kidney transplantations, in radiological, vascular and urological interventions, a detailed presentation of accessory renal artery incidence was conducted, gathering from the literature a large number of relevant studies in order to create a classification according to population, gender, side and specimen. The study concluded that the renal arteries present a broad spectrum of variability in their morphological expression regarding their length, diameter and entrance to the kidney parenchyma, additional arteries’ morphological expression was higher in men than women. Since computerized tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) described the presence of a clot subjectively, an objecti...Pulmonary embolism (PE) is potentially life threatening condition which requires adequate diagnosis. Since computerized tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) described the presence of a clot subjectively, an objective and quantification method to characterize plural parenchymal abnormality, pulmonary vessels and heart is needed (in order to diagnose PE). This study was directed to investigate whether the presence of plural parenchymal findings correlates with the PE and as well, it was designed to answer two basic questions based on CTPA findings done for clinical suspicion of PE: firstly, what are the plural parenchymal abnormalities associated with PE;secondly, correlation of PE with the presence of heart changes and pulmonary vessels measurements. CTPA scans were acquired for 55 patients suspected of having PE and another 50 subjects who were considered as control. The clinical signs and pleuroparenchymal abnormalities, pulmonary artery tree measurements, right ventricle and atrium diameters, Inter ventricular septum width as well as the myocardium thickening were characterized and correlated with PE. The results showed that the PE patients group has more dilated measurements than the normal control subjects. The right ventricle diameter changes were found to be significantly related to the presence of PE at p ≤ 0.001. Significant changes at p ≤ 0.005 were also noticed in the pulmonary trunk diameter as well as the right and left main pulmonary arteries with no significant changes detected in the distal portion of both pulmonary arteries diameters. The common complaints from PE patients were chest pain, shortness of breathing, lower limb swelling, tachycardia and syncope. Consolidation, ground glass opacifications, mosaic, right ventricle morphological changes and pleural effusion were present in the majority of patients undergoing CTPA for the clinical suspicion of PE. CTPA is considered as the diagnostic modality of choice in characterization of pulmonary vessels, atrium and ventricle changes as well as pleura parenchymal abnormalities in patients with or without PE.展开更多

摘要AIM: To estimate the adult reference values for measured deviations by a computerized diplopia test and testify the validity.METHODS: Totally 391 participants were recruited and taken the computerized diplopia test. The plots and amplitude of deviations were recorded. The differences in different gender, age and visual acuity groups were analyzed respectively. Of 30 subjects were enrolled to testify the interobserver reliability. Another 46 subjects(including 26 normal subjects and 20 patients) were taken the test and theirs deviations were recorded to testify the validity of the reference value.RESULTS: The max horizontal and vertical deviations were 2.55° and 0.76° with normal corrected visual acuity while 3.88° and 1.46° for subjects with poor corrected vision. The differences between age groups was insignificant(Z =3.615, 4.758; P =0.461, 0.313 for horizontal and vertical respectively). The max horizontal deviation of female was smaller than male(Z =-2.177; P =0.029),but the difference in max vertical deviation was insignificant(Z =-1.296; P =0.195). The mean difference between observers were both-0.1°, with 95% confidence limits(CI) of-1.4° and 1.6° in max horizontal deviations while-2.1° and 1.8° in max vertical deviation. The mean deviation of 26 normal subjects was 1.02° ±0.84° for horizontal and 0.47° ±0.30° for vertical which both within the range of reference values. The mean deviation of 20 patients was 13.51°±11.69° for horizontal and 8.34°±8.58°for vertical which both beyond the reference range.CONCLUSION: The max amplitude of horizontal and vertical deviation is pointed as the numerical parameters of computerized diplopia test. The reference values are different between normal corrected visual acuity and poor corrected vision. These values may useful for evaluating patients with diplopia in veriety conditions during clinical practice.
摘要AIM: To evaluate the ability of contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CECT) to characterize the nature of peripancreatic collections.METHODS: Twenty five patients with peripancreatic collections on CECT and who underwent operative intervention for severe acute pancreatitis were retrospectively studied. The collections were classified into (1) necrosis without frank pus; (2) necrosis with pus; and (3) fluid without necrosis. A blinded radiologist assessed the preoperative CTs of each patient for necrosis and peripancreatic fluid collections. Peripancreatic collections were described in terms of volume, location, number, heterogeneity, fluid attenuation, wall perceptibility, wall enhancement, presence of extraluminal gas, and vascular compromise.RESULTS: Fifty-four collections were identif ied at operation, of which 45 (83%) were identif ied on CECT. Of these, 25/26 (96%) had necrosis without pus, 16/19 (84%) had necrosis with pus, and 4/9 (44%) had fluid without necrosis. Among the study characteristics, fluid heterogeneity was seen in a greater proportion of collections in the group with necrosis and pus, compared to the other two groups (94% vs 48% and 25%, P = 0.002 and 0.003, respectively). Among the wall characteristics, irregularity was seen in a greater proportion of collections in the groups with necrosis with and without pus, when compared to the group with fluid without necrosis (88% and 71% vs 25%, P = 0.06 and P < 0.01, respectively). The combination of heterogeneity and presence of extraluminal gas had a specif icity and positive likelihood ratio of 92% and 5.9, respectively, in detecting pus. CONCLUSION: Most of the peripancreatic collections seen on CECT in patients with severe acute pancreatitis who require operative intervention contain necrotic tissue. CECT has a somewhat limited role in differentiating the different types of collections.
摘要In order to investigate the application of proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (ill-MRS) and computerized tomography (CT) in the quantitative diagnosis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and evaluation of therapeutic effects, 22 patients with NAFLD were selected according to the Chinese Medical Association's (CMA) standard of the NAFLD in comparison with 20 healthy volunteers (as control group). Blood samples for biochemistry were collected. The severity of hepatosteatosis was evaluated by ^1H-MRS scan and CT scan of liver. The intrahepatic content of lipid (IHCL) and CT value ratio of liver to spleen were calculated. The patients in NAFLD group were treated with Ganzhixiao Capsule for 8 weeks. The changes in IHCL and CT value ratio of liver to spleen were observed before and after treatment. In NAFLD group serum ALT, TG, IHCL calculated by ^1HMRS were increased and CT value ratio of liver to spleen decreased significantly as compared with control group. After treatment for 8 weeks serum ALT, TG, IHCL were decreased significantly, while CT value ratio of liver to spleen increased significantly in NAFLD group. It was suggested that IHCL could be measured precisely by ^1HMRS. NAFLD was treated effectively by Ganzhixiao capsule.
摘要Facial bone, as the frame to support maxillofacial region and with several sinuses and cavities, is structurally complicated and the maxillofacial tumors,benign or malignant, in this region usually grows into the deep tissues, sinus-cav-ities and orbit and destroys the bone. In this study, the maxillofacial tumors were subjected to a mimic operation on a computer following CT scanning and 3-dimen-sional reconstruction. The data similar to those of real operation were obtained,which could be used for developing operative plans. As compared with data on the basis of conditions in the real operation, computerized mimic operation reflected the real conditions during operation. Computerized mimic operation is valuable for the preoperative planning and the prediction of probable intraoperative events.

摘要Computer-aided Design (CAD), video games and other computer graphic related technology evolves substantial processing to geometric elements. A novel geometric computing method is proposed with the integration of descriptive geometry, math and computer algorithm. Firstly, geometric elements in general position are transformed to a special position in new coordinate system. Then a 3D problem is projected to new coordinate planes. Finally, according to 2D/3D correspondence principle in descriptive geometry, the solution is constructed computerized drawing process with ruler and compasses. In order to make this method a regular operation, a two-level pattern is established. Basic Layer is a set algebraic packaged function including about ten Primary Geometric Functions (PGF) and one projection transformation. In Application Layer, a proper coordinate is established and a sequence of PGFs is sought for to get the final results. Examples illustrate the advantages of our method on dimension reduction, regulatory and visual computing and robustness.

摘要The structure of molten DyF_3-LiF system has been simulated by Monte Carlo method.The radial distribution functions(RDFs)and the local structure have been obtained.It is concluded that F^- ions distribute closely around Dy3+ ions.There exist some fissures and holes between F^- ions and Li^+ ions. There are mainly two kinds of ionic types:the complex ions like DyF_n3-n clusters with the central Dy3+ ions (the main ionic clusters are octahedral complex ions like DyF_63-)and the“free”Li^+ ions.Moreover,some complex ions like DyF_n3-n clusters are connected to one another by flourine-bridge,forming more compli- cated ionic clusters like Dy_m3m-n F_n.By calculating the potential energies of all types of ions,it is concluded that Li^+ ions have the highest potential energy in the molten system,which are current-carrying ions in the electrolytic conductance.
摘要The artificial neural network method has been applied to the relationship between the atomic parameters and intemction packeters of binary alloy Phases, and the principle of thermodynamics in combination with artificial neural network method has been used for the computerized phase diagrams of continuous solid solution of bigamy alloy systems. The computerized phase diagrams well agree with the real phase diagmms.
摘要Despite lung cancer(LC) screening by low-dose computerized tomography(LDCT) gaining many proponents worldwide, for many years it was not recognized as a life-prolonging and cost-effective procedure, until recently. Prospective observational studies had not been able to prove that this screening prolongs survival, but they helped to specify the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Long-awaited results of a prospective, randomized trial finally provided the evidence that LC screening with LDCT can prolong survival of the screened population. Several costeffectiveness analyses were performed to justify mass introduction of this screening. Results of these analyses are equivocal, although conclusions highly depend upon inclusion and exclusion criteria, methods of analysis and prices of medical procedures which differ between countries as well as the incidence of other pulmonary nodules, especially tuberculosis. Therefore, costeffectiveness analysis should be performed separately for every country. Cost-effectiveness depends especially upon the rate of false-positive results and the rate of unnecessary diagnostic, screening and treatment procedures. To ensure high cost-effectiveness, LC screening should be performed in accordance with screening protocol, in dedicated screening centers equipped with nodule volume change analysis, or as a prospective non-randomized trial, to ensure compliance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. To ensure high cost-effectiveness of LC screening, future research should concentrate on determination of highrisk groups and further specifying the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

摘要The knitting industry CAD/CAM system's development needs a solution of computer representation of the designed objects. One of them is a transformation of knitting rows and stitches form knitting pattern and its automatic analysis is to control data from the knitting design data. A method of the pattern CAD system including the analyzing and the compiling of the pattern data was developed in this paper. By rasterizing the pattern map, the drafted pattern could be compiled into knitting row data and stitches. The storage format of knitting rows data and stitches data could be defined by analyzing the motion of computerized fiat knitting machine. By reassembling the control data, it could be analyzed into the execute data of the controller in computerized fiat knitting machine. This method mainly focused on the weak areas of multi-needle-bed technology and fully-fashioned knitting technology in inland and could be applied to most of control systems in the master-slave mode. The knitting row data and pattern row data in a " *. ptn" format file were integrated. Giving a corresponding analytic calculation process of control data and realizing independent development of the upper machine and the lower machine, the final knitting control data not only have low computation and transmission cost but also have fast transfer speeds.
摘要The acoustic characteristics or the chinese vowels of 24 children with cleft palate and 10 normal control children were analyzed by computerized speech signal processing system (CSSPS),and the speech articulation was judged with Glossary of clert palate speech(GCPS).The listening judgement showed that the speech articulation was significantly different between the two groups(P<0.01).The objective quantitative measurement suggested that the formant pattern(FP)of vowels in children with cleft palate was different from that of normal control children except vowel[a](P< 0.05).The acoustic vowelgraph or the Chinese vowels which demonstrated directly the relationship of vocal space and speech perception was stated with the first formant frequence(F1)and the second formant frequence(F2).The authors conclude that the values or F1 and F2 point out the upward and backward tongue movement to close the clert, which reflects the vocal characteristics of trausmission of clert palate speech.
摘要The structure of NaAlO_2 melt has been studied by computerized simulation using Monte Carlo method.The radial distribution functions and Local structure of this melt are calculated.It has been found that NaAlO_2 melt contains ionic clusters formed by corner-sharing AlO_4 tetrahedra,sodium ions and xNa^+.yO2- ionic clusters.
摘要Log centering accuracy depends on the computerized simulative level of its three-dimension outline. In this paper, the basic methods about distinguishing three dimensions outline of log by means of computerized simulation are discussed. It is suggested that straight lines or certain curves should be introduced to connect the separated points along some log generatrices. Taking bent logs for example verify the accuracy of computerized simulative method.
摘要Proactive Semantic Interference (PSI) and failure to recover from PSI (frPSI), are novel constructs assessed by the LASSI-L. These measures are sensitive to cognitive changes in early Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and preclinical AD determined by Aβ load using PET. The goal of this study was to compare a new computerized version of the LASSI-L (LASSI-Brief Computerized) to the standard paper-and-pencil version of the test. In this study, we examined 110 cognitively unimpaired (CU) older adults and 79 with amnestic MCI (aMCI) who were administered the paper-and-pencil form of the LASSI-L. Their performance was compared with 62 CU older adults and 52 aMCI participants examined using the LASSI-BC. After adjustment for covariates (degree of initial learning, sex, education, and language of evaluation) both the standard and computerized versions distinguished between aMCI and CU participants. The performance of CU and aMCI groups using either form was relatively commensurate. Importantly, an optimal combination of Cued B2 recall and Cued B1 intrusions on the LASSI-BC yielded an area under the ROC curve of .927, a sensitivity of 92.3% and specificity of 88.1%, relative to an area under the ROC curve of .815, a sensitivity of 72.5%, and a specificity of 79.1% obtained for the paper-and-pencil LASSI-L. Overall, the LASSI-BC was comparable, and in some ways, superior to the paper-and-pencil LASSI-L. Advantages of the LASSI-BC include a more standardized administration, suitability for remote assessment, and an automated scoring mechanism that can be verified by a built-in audio recording of responses.
摘要Introduction: A great number of software are currently used to digitalize the patient records in order to optimize the quality of services offered to patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of Electronic Health Records use in Burundi’s hospitals, taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic context. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study based on difference in difference method. Ten district hospitals were included in the study, five of them had the Electronic Health Records and five of which did not yet have the Electronic Health Records. The hospital’s control group were chosen using the propensity score matching method. The period before the project’s implementation was 2014 and the period after were 2019 and 2020. Results: After 5 years of the Electronic Health Record’s implementation, the results showed an increase in outpatient consultation (70%), deliveries (more than 100%), caesarean sections (56%) and major surgeries (43%) indicators. The overall quality score of hospitals’ care had a regressive effect of 37% and the income from performance-based funding had an increase by 31%. The indicators which were affected by the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were especially outpatient consultation, caesarian section, income from performance-based funding decreased by 3%, 5% and 20% respectively. Conclusion: The effects of Electronic Health Records use are effective. As the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the hospital’s indicators negatively, the resilient strategies alongside the potential shocks are recommended.
摘要Objective:To evaluate the clinical value with positron emission tomography/computerized tomography(PET/CT) imaging for the detection of vulnerable plaque in atherosclerotic lesions. Methods:Sixty people with a age of over 60[mean age (69.2 ± 7.1)years] underwent three dimension(3D) whole-body fluorine-18-2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose(^18F-FDG) PET/CT imaging and were evaluated retrospectively, including 6 cases assessed as normal and 54 cases with active atherosclerotic plaque. Fifty-four cases with SUVs and CT values in the aortic wall of high-FDG-uptake were measured retrospectively. These high-FDG-uptake cases in the aortic wall were divided into three groups according their CT value. Cases in group 1 had high uptake in atherosclerotic lesions of the aortic wall with CT value of less than 60 Hu(soft plaque). Cases in group 2 had high uptake with CT value between 60-100 Hu (intermediate plaque), Cases in group 3 had high uptake with CT value more than 100 Hu(calcified plaque), Group 4 was normal. Results: In group 1, there were 42 high-FDG-uptake sites (average SUV 1.553 ± 0.486). In group 2, there were 30 high-FDG-uptake sites(average SUV 1.393 ± 0.296). In group 3, there were 36 high-FDG-uptake sites(average SUV 1.354 ± 0.189). In group 4, there were 33 normal-FDG-uptake sites (average SUV was 1.102 ± 0.141), The SUVs showed significant difference among the four groups(F = 678.909, P = 0.000). There were also significant difference found between the normal-FDG-uptake group and the high-FDG-uptake groups(P = 0.000, 0.000, 0.001, respectively). Conclusion:Different degrees of ^18F-FDG uptake in active large atherosclerotic plaque were shown in different stages of atherosclerotic plaque formation. The soft plaque had the highest FDG uptake in this study. This suggested that ^18F- FDG PET/CT imaging may be of great potential value in early diagnosis and monitoring of vulnerable soft plaque in atherosclerotic lesions.
摘要The spleen is one of the most frequently affected organs in sickle cell anemia (SCA). This study aims to characterize the spleen in sickle cell anemia patients using contrast enhanced computerized tomography scanning (CECT). 67 patients with SCA from different Saudi Arabian areas were enrolled;ages are ranged from 10 months to 28 years old. The spleen was assessed with CT for abdominal pain and/or unexplained fever. The evaluation was done at different contrast enhancement scanning phases. The study showed that the least number of affected patients was from Eastern Saudi Arabia (1.5%) followed by Asseer (16.4%) then Gazan representing 82.1%. The most common type of SCA affected the Saudi children is Hemoglobin SS Disease (Hb SS) constituting 41 (61.2%). The spleen size, lymph nodes size, spleen Hounsfield (HU), splenic vein diameter and the correlation with the associated findings were evaluated for all of the patients. In children affected with SCA: 26 (38.8%) have splenomegaly, 18 (26.9%) have atrophied spleen and 2 (3.0%) are with very small tissue like structure. Lesions found in the spleen were abscess, infarction, cyst, and calcifications. At the spleen hilum region;dilated splenic vein, presence of multiple collaterals, and thrombus were also been detected. Significantly correlations were noticed between lesions type, child age, enlargement of spleen and splenic lymph nodes at P ≤ 0.033, P ≤ 0.010 and P ≤ 0.012 respectively and showed an evidence that the reduction of the HU and advanced age have significant relation with changing of the spleen size at P ≤ 0.004 and P ≤ 0.000 respectively. Spleen lesions’ enhancement pattern is well emerged in both venous and delay phase and it was significantly related with the scanning phase at P ≤ 0.000 and with different types of SCA at P ≤ 0.037, and P ≤ 0.055 in venous and delay phase in respectively. CECT offers a number of morphological criteria that can be applied to differentiate hypodense lesions of the spleen in SCA. CT characterization criteria of hypodense splenic lesions are acknowledged to aid interpretation during evaluation of abdominal CT images of the spleen in symptomatic patients with sickle cell anemia.
摘要Evaluation of Renal vascular anatomical variations Using Multi-Detector Computerized Tomographic scan in Sudan, the total number of patients studied is 400, 202 (50.5%) male and 98 (49.5%) females, and their ages ranged between (3 - 94) years. The types of Accessory renal arteries were 1.8% (7/24) upper pole, 1.8% (7/24) lower pole and 2.5% (10/24) hilus. In males, 4 upper pole, 4 lower pole and 7 hilus. In females, 3 upper pole, 3 lower pole and 3 hilus. The percentage of right accessory renal arteries is almost twice that of the left and more than twice the bilateral accessory arteries. Accessory renal artery is a common but a significant anatomical variant of the renal vascular system, due to their clinical importance. In our sample, the accessory renal artery presence was detected in 6% and displayed a greater variation on the right than the left side. Because this abnormality plays an important role in kidney transplantations, in radiological, vascular and urological interventions, a detailed presentation of accessory renal artery incidence was conducted, gathering from the literature a large number of relevant studies in order to create a classification according to population, gender, side and specimen. The study concluded that the renal arteries present a broad spectrum of variability in their morphological expression regarding their length, diameter and entrance to the kidney parenchyma, additional arteries’ morphological expression was higher in men than women. This is statistically not significant and variation in the right side was found greater frequency than the left side.
摘要Anatomical Variations of Renal Vascular in Patients Undergoing Computerized Tomographic scan in Sudan, the total number of patients studied is 400, 202 (50.5%) males and 198 (49.5%) females, and their ages ranged between (3 - 94) years. The study showed mean of total samples of the width and length of right and left kidneys respectively measurements were 5.354 ± 0.948 and 5.571 ± 0.966 for width and 10.028 ± 1.3684 and 10.060 ± 1.5203 for length, the width and length for right renal artery 5.746 ± 1.2814 and 5.881 ± 1.1444 respectively and for left renal artery 5.894 ± 1.3175 and 4.961 ± 1.3175 respectively. Accessory renal artery is a common but a significant anatomical variant of the renal vascular system, due to its clinical importance. In our sample, the accessory renal artery presence was detected in 6% and displayed a greater variation on the right than the left side. Because this abnormality plays an important role in kidney transplantations, in radiological, vascular and urological interventions, a detailed presentation of accessory renal artery incidence was conducted, gathering from the literature a large number of relevant studies in order to create a classification according to population, gender, side and specimen. 摘要Pulmonary embolism (PE) is potentially life threatening condition which requires adequate diagnosis. Since computerized tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) described the presence of a clot subjectively, an objective and quantification method to characterize plural parenchymal abnormality, pulmonary vessels and heart is needed (in order to diagnose PE). This study was directed to investigate whether the presence of plural parenchymal findings correlates with the PE and as well, it was designed to answer two basic questions based on CTPA findings done for clinical suspicion of PE: firstly, what are the plural parenchymal abnormalities associated with PE;secondly, correlation of PE with the presence of heart changes and pulmonary vessels measurements. CTPA scans were acquired for 55 patients suspected of having PE and another 50 subjects who were considered as control. The clinical signs and pleuroparenchymal abnormalities, pulmonary artery tree measurements, right ventricle and atrium diameters, Inter ventricular septum width as well as the myocardium thickening were characterized and correlated with PE. The results showed that the PE patients group has more dilated measurements than the normal control subjects. The right ventricle diameter changes were found to be significantly related to the presence of PE at p ≤ 0.001. Significant changes at p ≤ 0.005 were also noticed in the pulmonary trunk diameter as well as the right and left main pulmonary arteries with no significant changes detected in the distal portion of both pulmonary arteries diameters. The common complaints from PE patients were chest pain, shortness of breathing, lower limb swelling, tachycardia and syncope. Consolidation, ground glass opacifications, mosaic, right ventricle morphological changes and pleural effusion were present in the majority of patients undergoing CTPA for the clinical suspicion of PE. CTPA is considered as the diagnostic modality of choice in characterization of pulmonary vessels, atrium and ventricle changes as well as pleura parenchymal abnormalities in patients with or without PE.
