Logit and Tobit models are employed to conduct empirical analysis and it is found that terrace abandonment increases sequentially among the new, middle, and old generations, confirming that intergenerational differences significantly influence whether farmers abandon terraces and the terrace abandonment scale. Village characteristics and government subsidies significantly influence farmers' terrace abandonment. An increase in the number of migrant workers in the village increases terrace abandonment among new and middle generation farmers, whereas an increase in the distance from the village to the county significantly increases terrace abandonment among old generation farmers. An increase in the village's total population significantly reduces terrace abandonment among new generation farmers. An increase in government subsidies significantly reduces terrace abandonment among middle and old generation farmers. The impact of intergenerational differences on terrace abandonment is more pronounced in low-altitude areas. To reduce terrace abandonment, it is necessary to promote terrace transfer, develop characteristic agriculture, improve terrace farming subsidies, and propose targeted strategies for the different generations of farmers.展开更多

摘要Based on an index system established from the dimensions of ecology, life, and production, this study measures the governance efficiency of rural human settlements in the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)using the super-efficient slack-based measure model. The Gini coefficient,Markov chain, and Tobit regression model are employed to analyze the YREB’s regional disparities, dynamic trends, and influencing factors, providing a theoretical basis for promoting rural revitalization and regional coordination development. The results show that:(1)The overall governance efficiency exhibits a fluctuating uptrend, with a spatial pattern of“downstream>midstream>upstream”.(2)Moreover,regional differences of efficiency show a fluctuating downtrend, with inter-regional disparities as the primary sources.(3)The Markov chain indicates strong convergence in low-efficiency regions and low stability in high-efficiency regions.(4)Finally,governance efficiency can be significantly influenced by financial support, informatization, economic development, and education level. These results demonstrated the need for differentiated policies to narrow regional gaps and enhance synergistic, sustainable improvement in rural human settlements.

摘要Understanding the cellular and molecular distribution of cannabinoids can address a highly contentious perspective in the pain neuroscience field:whether cannabinoids are viable in pain relief.Due to insufficient evidence for cannabinoids in reducing pain in clinical trials and gaps in knowledge across the translational research process, the International Association for the Study of Pain(IASP)published a position statement in 2021 recommending against the general use of cannabinoids to treat pain.A possible mechanistic reason for the lack of translatability is interspecies differences in the expression of the cannabinoid type 1 and type 2 receptors at the tissue and cellular levels.Additionally, the anatomical site that is most important for analgesia has been elusive. This review aims to provide a deeper understanding of the anatomical distribution of cannabinoid receptors throughout the nervous system across species. We traverse historical and contemporary literature to illustrate the progression of methodology and perspectives. We discuss co-localized markers on cannabinoid receptor-expressing cells to elucidate possible anatomically dependent roles of the endocannabinoid system. We also discuss differences in cannabinoid receptor expression across species that may contribute to challenges in translatability between rodents and humans.Lastly,we cover how various types of pain can differentially alter the expression of cannabinoid receptors and how this may impact cannabinoid-based therapeutics.

摘要AIM:To investigate the sex-specific correlation between systemic factors and retinal neurovascular alterations in individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM)who do not exhibit signs of diabetic retinopathy(DR).METHODS:A cohort participant without DR diagnosed with T1DM,underwent comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation, optical coherence tomography angiography retinal structural and microvascular density analysis, and systemic parameter assessment.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to investigate the impact of systemic parameters on retinal alterations in distinct gender groups.RESULTS:A total of 182 individuals were included, consisting of 85 males(mean age 23.28±12.75y)and 97 females(mean age 22.98±13.68y).Males exhibited significantly greater thickness in both the internal retinal layer and the entire retina compared to females(P<0.01),whereas females had higher densities of deep retinal vessels and choroidal capillaries(P<0.05).Additionally,glycemic control was found to have a notable influence on retinal thickness in males(P<0.05),while insulin function had a more pronounced impact on retinal structure in females(P<0.01).Furthermore,a significant correlation was observed between thyroid function markers and retinal parameters in both male and female(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Sex differences in alterations in retinal structure and microcirculation are observed in individuals with T1DM prior to the development of clinical DR,with a noted association between these changes and systemic parameters.
摘要Objective:To determine the prevalence, severity, and audiometric characteristics of age-related hearing loss(ARHL)in older Chinese adults attending a tertiary otolaryngology clinic, with emphasis on age-and sex-specific patterns based on the updated World Health Organization(WHO 2020)cri-teria.Methods:In this cross-sectional study,1,000 adults aged≥60 years underwent otologic examination, tympanometry, and pure-tone audiometry at a tertiary medical center between March 2022 and January 2023.Individuals with abnormal tympanograms or evidence of middle ear disease were excluded.Pure-tone averages(0.5,1,2,and 4 kHz)from the better ear were used to define and grade ARHL.Age-and sex-related differences in hearing thresholds were assessed using chi-square tests,t-tests,and two-way ANOVA.Results:Within this tertiary-care outpatient cohort, the prevalence of hearing loss according to WHO 2020 criteria was 84.1%,rising from 78.3%in the 60s to 100%in those aged over 90 years.Hearing thresholds showed a consistent high-frequency-sloping configuration, with high-frequency(8,000 Hz)thresholds declining at nearly double the rate of low-to-mid frequencies(11.7 dB vs.4.5-6.3 dB per decade). The steepest decadal deterioration occurred between the 70s and 80s,characterized by a transition from high-frequency sensory loss to generalized cochlear decline.A sex-dependent"crossover"was observed:females exhibited superior hearing in their 60s and 70s but experienced more rapid deterioration in late life, resulting in comparable or poorer thresholds than males by their 80s and 90s.Conclusion:In this tertiary-care outpatient cohort of older Chinese adults,ARHL demonstrated distinct age-and sex-specific trajectories, including disproportionate high-frequency vulnerability and a late-life sex crossover effect.Adoption of WHO 2020 criteria substantially increased hearing-loss identification, particularly among adults in their 60s and 70s.
摘要BACKGROUND There is growing evidence linking tardive dyskinesia(TD)-a prevalent iatrogenic movement disorder among chronic schizophrenia patients-to the development of depressive symptomatology. However, two critical gaps remain in the existing literature on Chinese individuals diagnosed with chronic schizophrenia:(1)The potential mediating role of insomnia in the association between TD and depression has not been systematically explored;and(2)Gender-specific differences in this relationship remain understudied.AIM To examine the association between TD and depressive severity in Chinese individuals diagnosed with chronic schizophrenia and to explore the mediating role of insomnia and gender differences.METHODS This study, conducted across two psychiatric hospitals in China, recruited 669 chronic schizophrenia inpatients(68%male)using a multicenter design:Guangzhou Huiai Hospital and Wuhan Mental Health Center.Demographic and clinical data were collected.Psychopathology and symptom severity were assessed using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale,Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD),Insomnia Severity Index, and Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale.RESULTS The prevalence of TD in this cohort was 46.6%.Compared to patients without TD,those with TD had more severe insomnia(Insomnia Severity Index score:2 vs 1;Z=3.262,P=0.001)and depression(HAMD total score:7 vs 6;Z=2.042,P=0.041).Insomnia was found to partially mediate the TD-depression relationship in the subsequent mediation analysis:Total effect(TD-depression)=0.480(P<0.001),direct effect=0.298(P<0.001;62%),and indirect effect(via insomnia)=0.183(P<0.001;38%),with 95%confidence intervals:0.099,0.276,excluding zero.Gender-stratified analyses revealed that:(1)Among males,TD patients differed from non-TD patients only in HAMD diurnal variation(Z=3.259,P=0.001);and(2)Among females,TD patients had higher HAMD total scores(10 vs 7;Z=2.034,P=0.042),greater diurnal variation(Z=4.906,P<0.001),and more severe psychomotor retardation(Z=2.496,P=0.013)compared with non-TD females.CONCLUSION TD is associated with greater depressive severity in Chinese patients with chronic schizophrenia.Notable gender differences were observed, with females exhibiting a broader and more severe depressive symptom profile.Routine screening for insomnia and depression in patients with TD,along with gender-tailored interventions, may improve clinical outcomes.

摘要Urban populations are increasingly exposed to extreme heat due to climate change and rapid urbanization, heightening health risks in cities worldwide.Accurate heat exposure assessment is essential for public health planning and risk reduction. Most existing approaches rely on a single threshold temperature(e.g.,35℃of daily max temperature),applied uniformly to the entire population. However, this one-size-fits-all assumption overlooks substantial differences in heat sensitivity across population subgroups. In this study,we address this limitation by quantifying subgroup-specific temperature-mortality relationships and using corresponding minimum mortality temperatures(MMTs)to assess heat exposure. Results show that the population-wide MMT was 27.5℃,but it varied greatly across population subgroups. The elderly population(≥65)had an MMT of 24.6℃,much lower than the 28.6℃observed in younger individuals(<65).Females also exhibited a lower MMT that males(25℃versus 28.2℃).However,educational attainment did not significantly affect MMT.Using a uniform MMT resulted in substantial underestimation of heat exposure, ranging from 25.3%in 1990 to 13.9%in 2020,reflecting demographic shifts over time.Spatially, nearly half of the city experienced underestimated heat risk, especially in central and northeastern regions where heat-vulnerable populations are concentrated. These findings underscore the need for more nuanced heat exposure assessments that account for demographic and spatial variability, paving the way for targeted public health interventions to protect the most vulnerable urban populations.

摘要BACKGROUND Although numerous studies indicate that adverse mental states negatively affect sleep, few have systematically analyzed the association between various adverse mental states and insomnia.Furthermore, potential gender differences within such associations remain underexplored.AIM To investigate gender differences in correlations between adverse mental states and insomnia, and identify genderspecific risk factors for severe insomnia.METHODS A multicenter cross-sectional survey method was employed.A total of 2009 adult participants(2019-2021)completed an insomnia clinical assessment form. The form covered sociodemographic information,14 subjectively reported adverse mental states, core insomnia symptoms, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index.RESULTS Depression,apathy,fatigue,impatience-irritability,grief,forgetfulness,and slow response were significantly associated with insomnia.Timidity, indecision, suspiciousness, catatonia, decreased willpower, taciturnity, and inattention showed no significant association with insomnia.Grief(r=0.062,P<0.05),fatigue(r=0.065,P<0.05),and slow response(r=0.080,P<0.01)were correlated with increased time to fall asleep in women;no mental factors influencing sleep latency were identified in men.Apathy(r=0.073,P<0.05)was associated only with increased nocturnal awakenings in men,but not in women.Impatience-irritability was a risk factor for severe insomnia exclusively in men(odds ratio=1.62,95%CI:1.13-2.32,P=0.009),while grief was a risk factor specifically for women(odds ratio=1.83,95%CI:1.20-2.80,P=0.005).CONCLUSION Not all adverse mental states are significantly associated with insomnia, and the correlation between adverse mental states and insomnia varies according to gender and specific sleep dimensions.
摘要Residential energy-use behavior and energy-saving awareness play a crucial role in sustainable urban energy planning and building energy efficiency, particularly under the pressures of climate change. However, existing studies often lack comparative analysis of urban-rural differences and tend to focus excessively on behavior patterns while neglecting the dimension of energysaving awareness. With China’s urbanization rate reaching 66.16%,understanding such regional disparities has become increasingly important. To address these research gaps, this study conducts a large-scale survey on space cooling behaviors among residents in Beijing,a representative Chinese megacity. It should be noted that living standards in such megacities are generally higher than the national average, which may shape distinctive energy-use profiles.Analyzing 1573valid samples(1064 urban/442 rural)in 2024,this study employed K-Prototypes and K-Modes clustering to identify typical cooling behavior and energy-saving awareness pattems, followed by Kendall/Chi-square correlation tests and XGBoost importance analysis to determine key influencing factors, with subsequent urban-rural comparative analysis. Results indicate that urban residents are primarily heat-sensitive or heat-tolerant,with a secondary patten of mid-low temperature preference, and generally exhibit long cooling durations;rural behavior is dominated by heat-tolerant type, followed by heat-sensitive,mid-low temperature preference, and never-on types as secondary patterns;both urban and rural areas exhibit energy-savingawareness characterized by low consumption-lowwillingness,though urban areas show marginally higher motivation;energy-saving awareness correlates with cooling behavior in rural areas, but this relationship weakens significantly in urban contexts.
摘要Chinese painting is a unique artistic system rooted in its own culture and philosophy, possessing a complete system of artistic language. It does not pursue the“lifelike realism”that conquers the eye,but rather the“genuine awakening”that stirs the soul. Its value lies not only in having produced unique masterpieces, but also in providing world art with an artistic path of“perceptual expression”that runs parallel to the Western tradition of“rational representation”.True cross-cultural dialogue is by no means a simple matter of fusion or comparison of merits, but rather-on the basis of respecting differences-recognizing that the two traditions represent two great yet distinct modes of human aesthetic expression, capable of illuminating and complementing each other, and together enriching humanity’s understanding of beauty and the world.

摘要This study investigates the differences and influencing mechanisms of preschool teachers’curriculum leadership in urban and rural areas under the context of digital empowerment, aiming to provide empirical support for promoting high-quality and balanced development of preschool education in these regions. The research targeted preschool teachers in three typical urban-rural gradient regions within Guangdong Province(core areas of first-tier cities, transitional areas between urban and rural areas, and county-townships).Using a questionnaire survey method,it analyzed the current status of their curriculum leadership across four dimensions:curriculum ideological innovation, design and planning, implementation coordination, and evaluation and reflection. The findings indicate that preschool teachers’overall curriculum leadership is at a moderate level, with curriculum evaluation and reflection ability identified as the core weakness.Regarding urban-rural disparities, urban teachers significantly outperformed rural teachers in curriculum innovation capability, curriculum evaluation and reflection capability, and overall curriculum leadership. This disparity is primarily attributed to the gaps in technological empowerment, specifically the higher coverage of AI teaching resources and better hardware facilities and technical training in urban areas. However,no significant urban-rural differences were found in curriculum design and planning ability or curriculum implementation coordination ability, possibly because the basic technologies involved in these two dimensions, such as simple courseware creation and regular educational app applications, have been initially popularized in both urban and rural kindergartens.Furthermore, the study revealed that teaching experience significantly influences curriculum implementation coordination ability, with more experienced teachers performing better.Higher educational attainment is associated with superior curriculum evaluation and reflection ability and overall curriculum leadership.Kindergarten scale also significantly impacts curriculum design and planning ability and overall curriculum leadership, with smaller kindergartens demonstrating greater flexibility in AI-personalized curriculum design. This study underscores the importance of bridging the urban-rural digital divide and enhancing teachers’technological literacy and higher-order technological integration competencies to foster the development of preschool teachers’curriculum leadership in the digital era.
摘要Against the backdrop of the digital economy becoming a core engine for highquality regional economic development and Shandong accelerating the construction of a digital province, this paper identifies the industrial life cycle of Shandong’s digital economy from 2011 to 2025 using the Logistic model. An evaluation index system is established covering four dimensions:digital infrastructure, digital industrialization, industrial digitalization, and digital governance. With the entropy weight method,it measures the digital economy development level of 16 prefecture-level cities in Shandong from 2020 to 2024 and analyzes its temporal and spatial evolution. The results show that Shandong’s digital economy is in the early growth stage, with a saturation value of 1,3986.552 billion yuan and projected growth peak in 2027.All cities achieved steady development, while the gap between leading and lagging cities widened slightly with an obvious Matthew effect.A stable three-tier spatial pattern has formed, featuring a layout of stronger east, weaker west, faster south, slower north.Industrial digitalization and digital governance serve as core driving forces, and the growth driver has shifted from infrastructure to industrial integration and technological innovation.Corresponding policy suggestions are put forward to support the balanced and high-quality development of Shandong’s digital economy.

摘要This study explores the impact of intergenerational differences on farmers' terrace abandonment in response to increasing intergenerational differentiation among rural households and the practical issue of terrace abandonment. To reduce terrace abandonment, it is necessary to promote terrace transfer, develop characteristic agriculture, improve terrace farming subsidies, and propose targeted strategies for the different generations of farmers.

摘要Objective:Near vision loss(NVL)is one of the leading causes of visual impairment worldwide, exerting a profound impact on individual quality of life and socio-economic development. This study aims to analyze the burden of NVL in China by sex and age groups from 1990 to 2021 and to project trends over the next 15 years. Methods:Using data from the Global Burden of Disease(GBD)2021 database,we conducted descriptive analyses of NVL prevalence in China, calculated age-standardized prevalence rates(ASPR)and age-standardized disability-adjusted life years rates(ASDR)to compare burden differences between sexes and age groups, and applied an autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)model to predict NVL trends for the next 15 years. The model selection was based on best-fit criteria to ensure reliable projections. Results:From 1990 to 2021,China’s ASPR of NVL rose from 10096.24/100000 to 15624.54/100000,and ASDR increased from 101.75/100000 to 158.75/100000.In 2021,ASPR(16551.70/100000)and ASDR(167.69/100000)were higher among females than males(14686.21/100000 and 149.76/100000,respectively).China ranked highest globally in both NVL cases and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs),with female burden significantly exceeding male burden.Projections indicated this trend and sex gap will persist until 2036.Compared with 1990,the prevalence cases and DALYs increased by 239.20%and 238.82%,respectively in 2021,with the highest burden among females and the 55−59 age group. The ARIMA model predicted continued increases in prevalence and DALYs by 2036,with females maintaining a higher burden than males. Conclusion:This study reveals a marked increase in the NVL burden in China and predicts continued growth in the coming years.Public health policies should prioritize NVL prevention and control, with special attention to women and middle-aged populations to mitigate long-term societal and health impacts.
摘要Optic neuritis(ON)is a focal inflammatory demyelinating disorder of the optic nerve.Although classically regarded as a sentinel event for multiple sclerosis(MS),ON also occurs in antibody-mediated entities such as aquaporin-4-IgGpositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder(AQP4-NMOSD)and myelinoligodendrocyte-glycoprotein-antibody disease. In all these settings biological sex is a pivotal determinant of susceptibility, clinical expression, treatment response and long-term outcome.Data synthesized from an extensive literature analysis utilizing PubMed,Scopus, and Web of Science in this review shows that women experience ON far more frequently–with female-to-male ratios ranging from 3:1 in MS to almost 9:1 in AQP4-NMOSD–yet men, when affected, tend to accumulate irreversible neuro-axonal loss more rapidly.Sex-specific patterns arise at every biological stratum:X-linked gene dosage, epigenetic regulation, hormonal cycles from puberty through menopause, metabolic co-modifiers such as obesity and vitamin-D status, and psychosocial forces that influence healthcare utilization.By weaving these elements into an expanded narrative, the present review provides a detailed resource for clinicians and investigators aiming at gender-tailored management of ON.
