Ecological security patterns(ESPs)represent an effective way to maintain regional ecological security and promote regional sustainable development.This study investigated the spatiotemporal variations of ESPs in the West Liaohe River Basin(WLRB),China during 2000–2020 on the basis of five key ecosystem services(net primary production,soil conservation,habitat quality,water retention,and soil loss by wind).On the basis of the Geodetector model,we initially measured the explanatory rates of various natural and anthropogenic factors on the spatial differentiation of ecological sources and ecological corridors.The Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR)model was subsequently used to elucidate the driving mechanism of ESPs at the interannual scale.During 2000–2020,a"fan-shaped"ESP of"two zones,three belts,and many branches"formed in the WLRB.Natural factors dominated the spatial distribution of ESPs,and the average spatial explanation rate for ecological sources and ecological corridors was 23.86%,which was higher than that of anthropogenic activities(13.29%).However,anthropogenic activities amplified the spatiotemporal variations in ESPs.On this basis,this study proposed an ecological security protection and regulation strategy from three aspects,namely,regional priority,suitability analysis,and risk regulation,which might provide a working direction for regional practical management.This study extends the paradigm of ESP research and offers an important theoretical basis for regional ecological security,from"passive management"to"active management". 展开更多

Under the influence of human activities,landscape fragmentation in the Wei River Basin(WRB)has become increasingly severe.Upstream development has intensified soil erosion,and industrial and agricultural pollution in the middle reaches has degraded water quality.Rapid urbanization has further caused habitat fragmentation and biodiversity loss.Collectively,these challenges threaten human well-being and hinder sustainable development,making the construction and optimization of an ecological security pattern(ESP)urgently necessary.However,existing studies often fail to systematically integrate future landscape ecological risk(LER)assessment with ESP optimization.This study evaluated regional LER using the“ecological patches-ecological resistance surface(ERS)-ecological corridor”framework,combined with land-use predictions under three development scenarios,and optimized the ESP by adjusting the ERS and extracting ecological corridors.The results indicate that the LER in the WRB follows an“inverted N”distribution,with low-risk areas concentrated in forested mountain regions and high-risk areas mainly in cultivated land subject to intensive human activity.Across future scenarios,ESPs showed fewer ecological breakpoints and improved landscape connectivity than the 2020 baseline.Scenario-based differences emerged in the spatial configuration of ERS adjustments,with the ecological protection scenario yielding the lowest LER and most favorable ESP.This study demonstrates the deep integration of multi-scenario simulation with LER assessment,providing a new framework for ESP optimization.The findings have guiding significance for ecological protection and coordinated development in the WRB and offer a novel paradigm for sustainable development in ecologically fragile basins worldwide. 展开更多

Establishing a scientifically sound ecological security pattern(ESP)is essential for maintaining ecological security in arid regions.Although notable progress has been made in the construction of ESP,studies that systematically integrate the trade-offs and synergies between ecosystem services(ESs)supply and demand into the ESP optimization process is still lacking.In arid regions,regional demands for water yield and carbon storage form the core of ecological security,directly influencing ecosystem stability.Thus,we enhanced the evaluation of water yield and carbon storage demands and proposed a novel ESP optimization framework that explicitly incorporates ESs supply-demand trade-offs and synergies.Ecological sources were identified based on both ESs supply and supply-demand trade-offs.Resistance surfaces were optimized using multidimensional factors,and ecological corridors and pinch points were delineated with circuit theory to refine the ESP in the Hexi Corridor.The improved demand evaluation methods for water yield and carbon storage achieved high spatial accuracy.Due to environmental variation and anthropogenic pressures,ESs supply,demand and their interactions showed marked spatial heterogeneity.The ESP optimization framework identified 157 ecological sources,revealed key resistance mechanisms and delineated 196 ecological corridors and 656 pinch points,demonstrating its scientific rigor and spatial validity.An ESP featuring“two belts,three corridors,and four zones”was developed.Targeted optimization strategies were proposed,including source restoration,resistance surface regulation,enhanced corridor connectivity,and multi-scale synergistic restoration.The proposed ESP optimization framework is founded on an intrinsic transmission mechanism linking the regulation of production–living–ecological space demands,the optimization of supply–demand relationships,and the enhancement of ESP.By integrating the restructuring of ESs supply–demand relationships into the ESP optimization process,this framework establishes a targeted optimization pathway for arid regions and promotes a transition in ecological restoration from“passive conservation”to“active regulation”. 展开更多

This study focuses on urgent research on restoring and enhancing carbon storage capacity in the Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomer-ation of China,a key area in the‘Belt and Road’Initiative,which aligns with carbon peaking and neutrality goals.This research ana-lyzes the spatial characteristics of carbon metabolism from 2000 to 2020 and uses models to identify stable carbon sink areas,positive carbon flow corridors,and carbon sequestration nodes.The goal is to construct a carbon metabolism spatial security pattern(CMSSP)and propose territorial ecological restoration strategies under different development demand scenarios.The results show the following:1)in 2020,the study area’s carbon sink decreased by 8.29×104 t C/yr compared with that in 2010 and by 10.83×104 t C/yr compared with that in 2000.High-carbon sinks were found mainly in mountainous areas,whereas low-carbon sinks are concentrated in urban con-struction land,rural residential areas,and land margins.2)From 2000 to 2020,the spatial security pattern of carbon metabolism tended to be‘high in the middle of the east and west and low in the gulf.’In 2000,2010,and 2020,16 stable carbon sinks were identified.The carbon energy flow density in Guangxi was greater than that in Guangdong and Hainan,with positive carbon flow corridors located primarily in Guangxi and Guangdong.The number of carbon sequestration nodes remained stable at approximately 15,mainly in Guangxi and Hainan.3)Scenario simulations revealed that under the Nature-based mild restoration scenario,the carbon sink rate will reach 611.85×104 t C/yr by 2030 and increase to 612.45×104 t C/yr by 2060,with stable carbon sinks increasing to 18.In the restora-tion scenario based on Anti-globalization,the carbon sink will decrease from 610.24×104 t C/yr in 2030 to 605.19×104 t C/yr in 2060,with the disappearance of some positive carbon flow corridors and stable carbon sinks.Under the Human-based sustainable restoration scenario,the carbon sink area will decrease from 607.00×104 t C/yr in 2030 to 596.39×104 t C/yr in 2060,with carbon sink areas frag-menting and positive carbon flow corridors becoming less dense.4)On the basis of the current and predicted CMSSPs,this study ex-plores spatial ecological restoration strategies for high-carbon storage areas in bay urban agglomerations at four levels:the land control region,urban agglomeration structure system,carbon sink structure and bay structure control region. 展开更多

Ecological security provides the basis of maintaining both a sustainable regional ecosystem and economic development.However,few studies have focused on how the features such as topography and geomorphology,lithologic stratigraphic assemblages,and geohazard distribution affect the construction of ecological security patterns and the layout of optimization measures.In order to comprehensively reveal the key areas and key objects of ecological restoration in karst basins,this study takes the Beipan River Basin(BRB)as an example,constructs an ecological security pattern(ESP)based on the methods of morphological spatial pattern analysis(MSPA),landscape connectivity analysis and circuit theory,and lays out the optimization measures in combination with the spatial distribution characteristics of topographic and geomorphological differences and lithological stratigraphic combinations.The results show that 151 ecological sources,343 ecological corridors,121 pinch points and 178 barriers constitute the ESP of the BRB.Lithology is closely related to the spatial distribution characteristics of ecological source sites.Level 1 and 2 ecological sources(The ecological sources were categorized into level 1,level 2,and level 3 source from high to low importance.)are concentrated in the Emeishan basalt region of the upstream and the clastic and impure carbonate rock region of the downstream part of the BRB;level 3ecological sources are concentrated in the carbonate rock region of the midstream.Taking into account the outstanding ecological problems in the basin,and based on the characteristics of lithology and geohazard distribution,we propose the optimization scheme of“three axes,three zones and multiple points”for the ESP and the layout of specific measures of the BRB.The results can provide scientific references for maintaining ecological security maintenance in karst ecologically fragile areas. 展开更多

Following the trends of Chinese rural transformation development, and the sustainable development goals for resources and environment, reasonable arranging the potential development space and the ecological space, so as to optimize the distributions of rural settlement would be the key challenge for rural areas in ecologically fragile regions. From the perspective of maintaining regional ecological security, this paper takes Da’an City, a typical ecological fragile region in Jilin Province, as the case area, constructing the comprehensive ecological security pattern(ESP) on basis of landscape ecology, and applying the landscape pattern indexes to quantitative analysis the spatial distribution characteristics of rural settlements. Then, different optimization directions and management strategies are put forward for rural settlements in each secure zone under the comprehensive ESP. The experimental results showed that 1) the area of the low security zone, the general security zone, the moderate security zone and the extreme security zone was 1570.18 km^2, 1463.36 km^2, 1215.80 km^2 and 629.77 km^2, representing 32.18%, 29.99%, 24.92% and 12.91% of the total area of the target area, respectively. 2) The rural settlements in Da’an City were characterized by a high degree of fragmentation with a large number of small-scale patches. 3) The area of rural settlements in the ecological relocation zone, the in situ remediation zone, the limited development zone and the key development zone was 22.80 km^2, 42.31 km^2, 36.28 km^2 and 19.40 km^2, accounting for 18.88%, 35.03%, 30.04% and 16.06% of the total area of rural settlements, respectively. Then, different measures were proposed for settlements in different optimization zones in order to scientifically plan important ecological space, production space and living space in rural areas. This paper aims to provide fundamental support for rural settlements based on redistribution from the perspective of landscape ecology and provide insights for rural planning and rural habitat environmental improvement. 展开更多

Studying an ecological restoration zoning process under the background of ecological security patterns is of great significance to the rapid adjustment and optimization of a landscape pattern.In this study,a remote sensing ecological index and a morphological spatial pattern analysis method were used to assess the quality of habitats and identify ecological sources in the city of Ningbo;ecological corridors,ecological pinch points,and ecological barrier points were extracted by using a circuit theory to construct ecological security patterns and ecological restoration zones.The results indicate:(1)There were 47 ecological sources,and 83 key ecological corridors in Ningbo,and the ecological land area was about 1898.39 km2,accounting for 19.89%of the total study area.(2)The ecological source areas were distributed in“one patch and three belts”,and the low-resistance ecological corridors were concentrated in southern Yuyao city,western Haishu district,and central and western Fenghua district;the ecological network in the western and southern regions was dense.(3)There were four types of ecological restoration zones that need to be established,which were prioritized restoration zones,prioritized protection zones,key conservation zones,and general conservation zones distributed hierarchically from inner part towards outside.(4)Ninghai county,Yuyao city,and Fenghua district had large ecological land areas,however,prioritized restoration and protection zones in Ninghai and Fenghua were also large.The analysis results are expected to provide a reference for optimizing a territorial ecological space in a city. 展开更多

Under the background of rapid urbanization,suburban rural areas of large cities have become weak links in urban-rural ecological protection and key challenges in spatial governance.Using the rural areas of the Fuchun River Basin as a case study,this research applied the ESP-GMOP-PLUS coupled landscape pattern resilience optimization method to simulate the landscape pattern characteristics of the study area for the year 2030.The study coordinated multi-scenario simulation results with the development conditions of various townships within the area to develop customized management and guidance strategies for each township.The results indicate that the coupled simulation mechanism developed in this study can maximize the protection of high-quality ecological spaces from encroachment while meeting economic development needs.The overall effectiveness of different scenarios was ranked as follows:ecological protection priority scenario>balanced development scenario>urban development priority scenario>inertia development scenario.By jointly considering the landscape pattern simulation results and the development conditions of each township,the 68 townships in the study area can be classified into three major categories:ecological protection priority townships(37 townships,accounting for 57.14%of the basin's total area),balanced development townships(19 townships,accounting for 29.10%of the basin's total area),and Urban development priority townships(12 townships,accounting for 15.55%of the basin's total area).This research provides evidence-based planning support for the ecological space of suburban rural areas in large cities. 展开更多

Constructing a regional ecological network considering both ecological security and ecosystem service is crucial for achieving harmonious development between human and nature at landscape scale.Drawing on the foundational theory of“source-resistance-corridor”,we established ecological security patterns in the Daihai Basin,taking into account ecosystem service partitioning and supply-demand relationships.The findings showed the area with mismatches between ecosystem service supply and demand(high-low or low-high)was larger than the area where supply matches demand(high-high or low-low).A total of 20 travel corridors and 15 ecological protection corridors were identified,spanning 294.61 km and 174.20 km,respectively.A network optimization layout of“four belts,four nodes,and five clusters”was proposed in the Daihai Basin.This ecological network enhances human accessibility to ecosystem services and ensuring ecological security at the same time,so that is able to promote the harmonious coexistence of human and nature at landscape scale. 展开更多

The middle reaches of the Yellow River represent an important area for the protection and development of the Yellow River Basin.Most of the area of the river basin is within the Loess Plateau,which establishes it as a fragile ecological environment.Firstly,using high-resolution data of land use in the watershed from the past 30 years,landscape ecological risk(LER)sample units are defined and an ecological risk index(ERI)model is constructed.Kriging interpolation is used to display the LER spatial patterns,and the temporal and spatial evolution of risk is examined.Secondly,the spatial evolution of land use landscape change(LULC)is analyzed,and the correlation between land use landscape and ecological risk is discussed.Finally,Based on the LER model,a risk-based minimum cumulative resistance(MCR)model is established,and a comprehensive protection and management network system for the ecological source-corridor-node system designed.The results suggest that in the past 30 years,LER has a high spatial correlation and areas with extremely high ecological risks are concentrated in northwest and southeast areas of the region,of which the northwest area accounts for the highest proportion.Risk intensity is closely related to the spatial pattern of land use landscape.ERI values of forestland,grasslands,and unused land and farmland are low,medium,and high,respectively.The trend of risk evolution is“overall improvement and partial deterioration”.Man-made construction and exploitation is the most direct reason for the increase of local ecological risks.The high ecological-risk areas in the northwest are dominated by deserts which reduce excessive interference by human activities on the natural landscape.Recommendations are:high-quality farmland should be protected;forestland should be restored and rebuilt;repair and adjust the existing ecosystem to assist in landscape regeneration and reconstruction;utilize the overall planning vision of“mountain,water,forest,field,lake,grass,sand”to design a management project at the basin scale;adhere to problem-oriented and precise policy implementation. 展开更多

Impacts of multi-scenario land use change on ecosystem services and ecological security pattern: A case study of the Yellow River Delta 认领 引用 被引量:8

The Yellow River Delta(YRD), a critical economic zone along China's eastern coast, also functions as a vital ecological reserve in the lower Yellow River. Amidst rapid industrialization and urbanization, the region has witnessed significant land use/cover changes(LUCC), impacting ecosystem services(ES) and ecological security patterns(ESP). Investigating LUCC's effects on ES and ESP in the YRD is crucial for ecological security and sustainable development. This study utilized the PLUS model to simulate 2030 land use scenarios, including natural development(NDS), economic development(EDS), and ecological protection scenarios(EPS). Subsequently, the InVEST model and circuit theory were applied to assess ES and ESP under varying LUCC scenarios from 2010 to 2030. Findings indicate:(1) Notable LUCC from 2010 to 2030, marked by decreasing cropland and increasing construction land and water bodies.(2) From 2010 to 2020, improvements were observed in carbon storage,water yield, soil retention, and habitat quality, whereas 2020–2030 saw increases in water yield and soil retention but declines in habitat quality and carbon storage. Among the scenarios, EPS showed superior performance in all four ES.(3) Between 2010 and 2030, ecological sources, corridors, and pinchpoints expanded, displaying significant spatial heterogeneity. The EPS scenario yielded the most substantial increases in ecological sources,corridors, and pinchpoints, totaling 582.89 km2, 645.03 km2,and 64.43 km2, respectively. This study highlights the importance of EPS, offering insightful scientific guidance for the YRD's sustainable development. 展开更多

The construction of an ecological security pattern(ESP)is an important way to ensure regional ecological security and to achieve sustainable regional development.It is also one of the hotspot topics of landscape ecology research.This paper identifies the ecological source through the evaluation of the ecosystem service and ecosystem sensitivity of the Lanzhou-Xining(Lan-Xi)urban agglomeration.The minimum cumulative resistance(MCR)model modified by night light data NPP/VIIRS(National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Preparatory Project/Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite)was used to measure the relative resistance of the materials and energy circulation between the source areas,and to establish the resistance surface of the ecological source area expansion.Then ecological corridors were identified based on ecological sources and resistance surface.The ecological strategic node is the ecological fragile point in the ecological corridors.The ecological strategic node is identified with hydrological module by superimposing the"ridge line"of cumulative ecological resistance with the ecological corridor.Combined with ecological sources,corridors and strategic nodes,the ESP of the Lan-Xi urban agglomeration can be constructed.The ecological source of the Lan-Xi urban agglomeration accounts for 28.42%of the total area,most of which is distributed within Qinghai Province.The nature reserves in the area are all located within the ecological source area.A total of 41 potential ecological corridors have been identified in the study area.The total length of the potential corridors is 1201.03 km,comprising 23 source corridors and 18 radiation corridors.There are 30 strategic nodes identified in the Lan-Xi urban agglomeration.These locations are the most vulnerable areas of the ecological corridors.Ecological engineering should be applied in the construction of corridors.Affected by the ecological source,the potential ecological corridor extends from the northwest to the southeast,which is basically consistent with the direction trend of the mountains in the region. 展开更多

Territorial spatial ecological restoration is a crucial prerequisite for optimizing the territorial spatial patterns,enhancing the ecosystem functions,and achieving sustainable development at the regional scale.The Qaidam Basin,located in the alpine arid region of the Qinghai–Xizang Plateau,China,is experiencing desertification,biodiversity loss,soil erosion,and environmental pollution.Selecting the Qaidam Basin as the study area,we identified 9 ecological sources in the region using the Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis(MSPA)method and the landscape connectivity assessment,and extracted 10 significant corridors and 26 general corridors using the Minimum Cumulative Resistance(MCR)and Gravity models.Then,we determined 114 ecological"pinch points"and 42 ecological barrier points by employing the Circuit Theory,thereby constructing the ecological security pattern of the area.Further,we evaluated the ecosystem health of the Qaidam Basin during 2003–2023 using the Vitality–Organization–Resilience–Service(VORS)model.Finally,we integrated ecosystem health assessment and ecological security pattern to comprehensively identify the key areas for ecological restoration in the Qaidam Basin.The results revealed that the ecosystem in the basin fluctuated toward a healthier state from 2003 to 2023.The average ecosystem health index(EHI)for the basin decreased from 0.34 in 2003 to 0.28 in 2013,followed by a substantial recovery to 0.36 in 2023.Higher EHI values were found in the northeastern,southeastern,and southwestern fringes and lower values were located in the basin interior and northwestern region.During 2003–2023,the areas that exhibited a decrease in EHI were primarily located in the interior and northwestern regions of the basin,while those that exhibited an increase in EHI were located in the northeastern,southeastern,and southwestern fringes,demonstrating expanded spatial differences.This may be attributed to the fact that once an eco-environment is damaged,the ecological recovery of the vulnerable areas within the eco-environment will be slow and difficult.This study identified four types of ecological restoration areas,including corridor connectivity,artificial restoration,ecological recovery,and ecological enhancement zones,covering a total area of 6034.7 km2,and proposed targeted ecological restoration strategies according to these different categories.Our findings can serve as a valuable reference for optimizing the territorial spatial patterns,enhancing the ecosystem functions,and promoting sustainable development in the Qaidam Basin. 展开更多

科学推进生态保护与修复是城市群构建生态安全优化格局、促进区域生态建设高质量发展的核心任务和重要保障.以广西北部湾城市群为对象,围绕“生态安全格局理论+天空地一体化监测技术”为技术路线,通过监测数据整合校核和形态空间格局分... 科学推进生态保护与修复是城市群构建生态安全优化格局、促进区域生态建设高质量发展的核心任务和重要保障.以广西北部湾城市群为对象,围绕“生态安全格局理论+天空地一体化监测技术”为技术路线,通过监测数据整合校核和形态空间格局分析,借助InVEST模型修正生态源地,进行生态连通度测算和生态阻力面分析,采用电路理论提取生态关键要素,精准识别研究区重点保护和生态修复区域,构建和优化生态安全格局,并在分析生态保护与修复驱动因素基础上提出针对性修复策略.结果表明:(1)研究区景观格局类型总面积为48 207.72 km2,占研究区总面积65.70%,其中核心区面积36 394.50 km2,占研究区总面积49.60%;筛选生态源地共30个,涉及面积2 522.84 km2,一、二、三级源地分别为3、12、15个.(2)提取生态廊道共67条,总长度3 318.37 km;识别生态夹点共138处,涉及面积154.43 km2;识别生态障碍点共144处,涉及面积603.65 km2.(3)将生态源地、一级生态廊道和生态夹点划为重点保护区域,面积共3 619.21 km2;将二级生态廊道、三级生态廊道和生态障碍点划为生态修复区域,面积共1 709.27 km2;将重点保护区域和生态修复区域之外的区域划为生态管控区域,面积共68 050.52 km2.(4)最终构建了广西北部湾城市群“两屏-四区-六核-四廊-多点”的生态安全优化格局.(5)深入分析了研究区生态保护与修复的驱动因素,包括:政策约束、生态需求、经济发展、科技支撑、国际履约与社会协同等.研究结果充分反映了研究区生态保护与建设的实际特征,提出的国土空间生态功能分区管控方案和针对性管控策略为广西北部湾城市群“陆海统筹”生态建设高质量发展提供了科学依据和实践指导. 展开更多

为构建河南省生态安全格局以支撑区域生态保护与可持续发展,综合运用形态学空间格局分析法、电路理论及空间句法对河南省景观要素进行系统分析.通过确定生态源地、廊道、夹点和障碍点等关键要素,并评估生态网络的形态结构特征,明确需优... 为构建河南省生态安全格局以支撑区域生态保护与可持续发展,综合运用形态学空间格局分析法、电路理论及空间句法对河南省景观要素进行系统分析.通过确定生态源地、廊道、夹点和障碍点等关键要素,并评估生态网络的形态结构特征,明确需优先修复的关键性空间.结果表明:①河南省景观类型总面积达32066 km2,占研究区面积的19.20%,其中核心区面积为23095 km2,占比为13.83%;当面积阈值≥3 km2时,共识别出380个生态源地,生态源地面积占研究区总面积的12.96%,主要集中于西部、中部和南部地区.②基于电路理论提取出1139条生态廊道,总长度达18206.68 km,其中包括重要廊道504条、次重要廊道403条和一般廊道232条,同时识别出316处生态夹点(分布于廊道与源地交界处)和290处生态障碍点(沿廊道分布).③建议优先修复北部及东部的109处生态障碍点,修复面积总计1387.19 km2.④最终构建了“一带、二纵、三屏、四廊、多点”的生态安全格局.该格局及其关键要素充分反映了河南省生态系统的实际特征,提出的修复策略为区域生态保护与可持续发展提供了科学依据和实践指导. 展开更多

在都市圈空间结构失衡与冲突矛盾频发的背景下,构建兼顾生态价值与空间冲突适应性的生态安全格局,对于推动都市圈协调发展具有重要意义.现有生态安全格局构建方法多聚焦于生态结构连通性与功能重要性评估,较少考虑空间冲突强度等现实制... 在都市圈空间结构失衡与冲突矛盾频发的背景下,构建兼顾生态价值与空间冲突适应性的生态安全格局,对于推动都市圈协调发展具有重要意义.现有生态安全格局构建方法多聚焦于生态结构连通性与功能重要性评估,较少考虑空间冲突强度等现实制约因素,导致部分构建结果在实际落地过程中易与高冲突区域重叠,制约其在国土空间规划中的适用性与实施效果.为此,以西安都市圈为例,引入空间冲突强度作为调控因子,优化生态源地识别过程,构建冲突调控型生态安全格局,并基于图论方法,从源地鲁棒性与网络连通性等维度对比评估其与主流结构型、功能型和整合型格局的性能差异.结果表明,冲突调控型生态安全格局中识别源地228个,总面积为3 240.34 km2,识别廊道594条,总长度约为3 814.71 km;与结构型、功能型和整合型生态安全格局对比,冲突调控型格局在源地冲突鲁棒性(0.491 8)、网络闭合度(α=0.286 3)、线点速率(β=0.571 2)和成本比系数(c=0.991 9)等方面表现最佳.研究表明空间冲突因子的引入提升了生态安全格局的现实适应性与实施可行性,可为多目标约束下都市圈生态空间优化提供理论支撑与方法路径. 展开更多
